Looks like a layer 3 problem. IP connectivity needs to be sorted. Is DNS functioning on your devices connected to the unmanaged switch?

It doesn't appear anything behind the switch is getting DNS either. I'm not totally sure why, as I'm locally hosting the DNS on the same VLAN.

Completely agree. You can't even BUY the fairphone in the US, so as cool as it is, and as much as I want to give it love, you can't even get it for the majority of his viewer base. Yeah, no, do not listen to this. That depends on where you live and in some cases absolutely can be legally required if it's requested. It's called shopkeeper's privilege. Most states have a law for this and they are allowed to detain you for a reasonable amount of time if they believe you have stolen something for the purpose of determining that.
