  1. You mean from a non-Muslim, non-Jewish, non-American perspective. 68% of circumcisions are among Muslims worldwide.

  2. Yes, and we talked to doctors about it and everything. I bet any man in your family that battled cancer would say he would’ve given up his foreskin in a heartbeat to avoid the pain and suffering. But I can’t convey how exactly I shared your viewpoints until the baby was real and I was making a decision for a real person, not just something theoretical. I would’ve had regrets about either choice.

  3. Just out of curiosity, Do you think your son will end up with a tight style cut or loose style cut?

  4. I got circumcised until I was 25 because I suffered my whole life with problems. Honestly I would’ve rather have been cut when I was a baby, I suffered A LOT by doing it until 25. Not only from the numerous infections, but also from having to walk around with stitches for 2 weeks while having to go to work and such.

  5. No babies should be afforded genital integrity, adults need to face their medical procedures as adults.

  6. Yes I feel the same way. And yes there are still medical benefits. I’d trust John Hopkins and not lesser sources:

  7. A study of 90 American medical textbooks found that upwards of 70% of the depictions of the human penis were anatomically incorrect.

  8. You made me think, thank you. Why IS this something of a discussion? Something I will continue to mull over . Appreciate it.

  9. For those who want to spend decades fixated on the loss of a small strip of skin, I’m sure those are dandy.

  10. I’m going to guess that 15 sq inches is what you’re missing now, not what you had taken away. Unless you were packing some serious heat at an early age.

  11. Clean it as you would a finger, wiping only the outside and never forcefully retracting.

  12. Circumcision does not remove a single nerve from the penis, this " equation " is completely nonsensical. The dorsal penile nerve and the perineal nerve are the only two nerves which branch into and innervate the penis, neither of which are effected (obviously not removed) by circumcision.

  13. You should be wary of the bias of doctors from genital cutting cultures. A study of 90 American medical textbooks found that upwards of 70% of the depictions of the human penis were anatomically incorrect.

  14. Again, not knowing how an uncirced head feels, us that are circed can't compare.

  15. I don’t think we are exploring space until this genital mutilating fetish is extirpated from the planet.
