Lol unfortunately you’re going to stand out regardless since everyone knows you’re a freshman by the big bags of supplies you’ll be walking around with. That doesn’t mean not to do it; we all did. Honestly it can get you a lot of grace because people will expect you to be lost and confused. Don’t be afraid to ask other SCAD students for help or directions! Almost everyone is friendly and can empathize with you being away from home for the first time
You're welcome, as a side note be aware that Roland is a Transcendant a specialized type of construct. Currently they can't be in the same team as normal constructs like Lucia and Liv. They can only be in the same team with other transcendants and they suffer a 9% debuff when deployed to stages that are not dead zones. You'll get your first Transcendant (Camu) for free once you reach the rank to unlock them as well.
On the bright side the patch after Roland relase you can use transcendents with normal constructs on the not dead zones stages and a fire amplifier which will greatly buff Roland will be released too and Roland will be kinda meta too he is broken

I'm a senior at scad and I've learned through experience to wait to buy any "required texts and materials." It can be scary to go to class possibly underprepared. But I found that the best thing to do is wait to buy anything. Yes, they recommend that you get the kit but from my experience, you don't need it. Much of the materials you will not need. I just buy the materials that I need when each assignment is assigned. I know how it can be since it can get really expensive. So the best thing to do is wait.

I'm again not a big fan of the direction they went for voice casting in english.. maybe it's just cuz I'm used to hearing english but I feel like for all the child characters it's super obvious its an adult pretending to sound like a kid compared to the other dubs..
Or, as I usually say, "it sounds like an annoyed teenager who definitely did NOT want to play this role". It's baffling how different they sound from actual kids. I know VAs aren't as valued in the US as they are in JP, but getting them to study / watch kids in movies and series would definitely help with their acting.
Yeah, I feel like the casting director for en rlly has some issues, like not telling the actors how to pronounce names or non english words. Like, every actor has their strengths and weaknesses and some just really arent suited for the role they’re given, not rlly the actors fault imo

I think dining halls like the Hive Cafe and O-House are buffet style, so you pay to get in and eat whatever you like. Others like Carnival or the food trucks have a menu that you can order off of, and usually include a drink. You can also use a meal swipe to get a drink at places like Beefuel or Ration, like a smoothie, coffee, tea, or Starbucks drink. Also, some menu items cost multiple meal swipes, so with plan C you can use them to get the item. For example, I think the udon from Carnival costs 4 meals swipes. I think you can also buy select items from the convenience store with meal swipes, like a salad/sandwich/sushi, fruit cup, drink. They’ll be labeled with a little SCAD sticker if this is the case.

No prob! As far as I know everything in the convenience store that’s labeled with the scad sticker is 1. Depending on the cashier, sometimes they’ll just let you take multiple to make up a whole meal, so if you buy a sandwich they’ll let you get a drink too. Others will make you pay for both. At dining halls with a menu, like Carnival, the menu should have a section that says “meal plan”, and everything under that is worth 1 meal swipe. Everything in the regular section can be assumed 2, I think the udon being 4 is bc it’s like a special item that costs more in general. If it’s not sectioned, like at Boathouse, you can assume everything is worth 1. I think everything worth 1 includes a drink.

In all honesty I think you’d get along with most Scad kids. You sort of fit the target demographic to a T. A lot of your demands are pretty simple things that are already in the preferences (room temp, sleep times, noise level) and the sex thing is sort of like not even a real problem I wouldn’t think. I mean maybe it’s because I’m in turner house but no way is someone going to be having whole ass sex four feet away from me while I’m trying to sleep. I think a lot of your anxiety can be dissipated by knowing that most people at Scad are just like you. It’s a bunch of art nerds that like cartoons and video games. I’d say don’t stress it, wait til you get your roommates, talk to them, and if there’s an obvious incompatibility down the line you can always ask to change rooms.(might have some trouble with that this year though because dorms are at capacity)
