  1. Or if a sitting president assassinated the guy running against him. Which happens often enough in some places. The day the SC rules that's ok, trump might be thinking twice about how good of an idea presidential immunity is.

  2. Putin kills his opposition often. Does anybody really think HitlerPig wouldn't emulate his master?

  3. It was a huge psychological blow to everybody. The Vietnam War was at its peak, and the draft was in full force. There is nothing today that equals the terror of the Vietnam War Draft. Imagine being a teenage boy, knowing that when he turns 18, he's going to be entered into a lottery where the prize for winning was becoming enslaved by your country, and forced to kill or be killed. So, no wonder there were protests.

  4. This is the reality. I just read today that Harvey W. had his conviction in NY thrown out. Our court system is an absolute fucking joke.

  5. His NY conviction was thrown out, and he will be re-tried. He still has a sentence to serve for his trial in California. He won't be leaving prison, except to attend court.

  6. What's the flavour profile of Muenster? Is it more like cheddar or mozz or ?

  7. Very mild, similar to Havarti. I love Muenster, and you can call it "Monster Cheese," which is fun.

  8. If they do that, and the Dems serve up a bloodbath on Election Day, and take control of the presidency and Congress, then they should be-balance SCOTUS with 4 more seats.

  9. My condolences on the loss of your friend. I never need much pressure to either smoke a bowl or listen to The Wall (also my favorite album). I'll happily do both in her honor. Goodby Blue Sky seems appropriate.

  10. National Geographic. Fornwell over a century itbwas the greatest magazine in the world. Then Fox bought it, and ruined it. Every other issue has a religious-themed cover story. They print stories on crypto-zoology and UFOs.

  11. I would never secure anything that has to carry a load, especially an expensive or sentimental load, with just anchors in drywall. If you can't put them directly in studs, there is another option:

  12. The argument is so flawed, it is ridiculous that they are even considering it. If a president has complete immunity a president never needs to leave office. They can't be prosecuted for staying president and ignoring the election. How the F would that be lawful or constitutional? If that is the case then Obama should just move back into the white house and fist fight Biden and Trump for the presidency. Romper room democracy.

  13. Barrett focused on the difference between official conduct, and private conduct meant to benefit a private agenda, and got Trump's lawyer to admit that there is a difference, and they conceded that the president should not have immunity for private acts. So killing one's political opponent, or refusing to leave office, etc. would be considered private acts in pursuit of a personal agenda, and therefore not protected by immunity.

  14. Republicans argue the president would be impeached and then tried.

  15. Heres how it would go if the president committed a serious crime like murder: He would be impeached by the House, which is essentially an indictment. Then he would be tried by the Senate. If he was found guilty in the Senate, the only punishment is to lose his Presidential office, which is pretty weak for a crime like murder.

  16. Blows my mind. And the most ironic thing is republicans are constantly screaming about stolen election. Like the dude blatantly, undeniably, literally tried to steal the election. The fake electors were discovered, the fake documents were discovered, this is all undeniable. And yet why is it still up in the air whether he gets held accountable? Why is there so much uncertainty? This is open and shut, and yet somehow shockingly it is not at all open and shut. One thing I can agree with republicans on is that our country is upside down. Just for completely opposite reasons. Feels like we’re in a cold civil war, I think we have been for many years, and the last 10 years it’s reached a peak.

  17. How is it that Trump is an "unindicted co-conspirator" in both Michigan and Arizona? If he's a co-conspirator, why hasn't he been indicted along with all the rest? How does he get to start the whole thing, encourage it through the entire operation, and yet still remain "unindicted?"

  18. If some asshole tried hitting me, my wife, or my kid with a stick, I'd yank it out of his hands and shove it so far up his ass he'd change his name to Corn Dog Lollipop.

  19. When I was a kid, I had these two old-maid aunts (actually my dad's aunts), and they were the scaredy-cat old lady types, afraid of EVERYTHING. Whenever we would approach an escalator, they would say, every time, usually multiple times: "Be careful! If you fall, it will cut your legs to RIBBONS!"

  20. He’s obviously a lying bastard, but there’s dumbasses that will believe him.

  21. The flight attendant may not be a dumbass, she just didn't feel like entertaining his nonsense, so she gave hom a row to shut him up.

  22. Time for him to leave. While he's at work, gather his stuff, stick it on the porch, and have a locksmith change the locks. He can go live with one of his girlfriends.

  23. Only time will prove to them that you are serious, and not returning. So ignore them and live your life without looking back. Don't engage with those who demand explanations, they just think they can convince you to return to their Fantasyland. Just say, "I'm not interested in discussing that subject," and change it, or if they wont cooperate, walk away.

  24. He brought women who had accused Bill Clinton of infidelity to a debate with Hillary - all while he was knowingly killing bad news stories about his own infidelity. His hypocrisy and stupidity is without limit. He is unable to refrain from being petty, even when it ends with him kicking himself in the face. Then he plays victim about his black eye. Sad how many people still follow such a POS.

  25. Petty? How about he gets fined $5 million for defaming someone, walks out of court and starts repeating ALL the same stuff that just cost him $5 million! So she sues him again, and this time gets $85 million, and somehow its Joe Biden's fault, or the Democrats, or some such goofy bullshit. $90 million, all because he can't handle himself with even the barest minimum acceptable behavior allowed by normal society. But he's right, and the rest of the world is wrong.

  26. Of course, his most motivated followers are either in jail, wanted by the FBI, or would be wanted by the FBI if their identities were known, so they aren't likely to show their faces at another MAGA Mob Scene.

  27. My favorite setting is the combination of neck and middle, with a preset on my amp that I custom created. That's my signature sound, you'll hear it when I'm a Supa-star!.

  28. For real. Maybe it’s a better scenario if a former President/future Presidential candidate NOT be involved in a fucking criminal trial. My mom said she cried when Nixon resigned. I told her I cry everyday for the future of this county.

  29. At this stage in the development of our country, it is obvious that the time has come to demonstrate to future generations that there are lines that can't be crossed, no matter who you are, including the president himself. You will not committ crimes up to and including multiple forms of treason, and not expect to be harshly dealt with.

  30. That was the last nail in the Republican coffin. Before they have any hope in recovering from the MAGA era, they are going to have to pry the RNC, which is the source of the money, out of Trump's hands. He's not likely to easily surrender the Republican money spigot, and since he's in charge, he makes the rules.

  31. It was on purpose. The case was filed in person in a manual-processing downtime that struck that courthouse in Florida. The system was only offline for a few minutes, and during those few minutes, Trump's trial was filed, then the system resumed operating. It let them manually direct the case to Canon instead of following the random assignment the automated system does.

  32. This case is far bigger than all the rest, even the Insurrection, because Trump stole thise documents to sell to someone. The most obvious clients would be Russia, Saudi Arabia, and China, and possibly even North Korea. Perhaps there were even other interested parties. In any case, that means there are actual National Governments that won't want the truth coming out any more than Trump does.

  33. And Empty G was yammering about how the Dems want Trump in prison so they can murder him.

  34. Stop repeating every word she says! Republicans are always complaining about cancel culture, let's cancel her.

  35. I always struggle with the idea of telling the unknowing spouse. That's really between the married couple, and the Affair Partner is only going live up to the cliche of homewrecker if they inform. And nobody will believe that it's out of remorse/guilt. It's going to look like an offensive attack to nearly everyone.

  36. Ive heard that those old pickguards were made if some sort of plastic that outgasses over time, and if you've kept the guitar seeled up for years, the gas can't escape, and it eats away at everything - the pickguard, the finish, the tuners, etc.

  37. They were made between '69 and '71 in Japan. Called the Yamaha "Hummingbird" by some. If the neck is still in alignment, you've got yourself a fine period guitar. If out of alignment, resets can be pricey. Almost all of the pick guards on this series warped, bubbled and fell off. I assume you can find a reproduction somewhere on line.

  38. The Gibson Hummingbird was a really desireable guitar at the time (still is), and during the "lawsuit era" it seems like all the Japanese factories were making Hummingbirds.
