  1. My friend did it and although it was extremely stressful the evaluations were way easier and she did really well. She is struggling a lot in calc now because of it though. It will really just end up depending on your summer school teacher it’s a huge risk but it can really bump up your grade if you get lucky.

  2. I’m just wondering if it’s worth the risk.. I think if I really put a lot of work into it, I could do it but I just don’t want to get a shitty teacher. Plus, I’m worried abt struggling w calc bc it’s a required course for uni..

  3. I think you should just work a little harder and do it over the semester because having that gap in calculus where there is absolutely no review because everyone took it last semester is not worth it if it’s a required course for you. I just did the calc trig test without having to learn much because I have a strong foundation from last sem which my friend did not have and she struggled a lot. It was such a short unit because everyone else also had that foundation so you might fall behind quickly. Also I have gotten soooo unlucky everytime I tried to take summer school so I’m a little biased maybe lol.

  4. Second year going into third Artsci here!! As someone who's interested in going to law but also considering UX design or even social work I personally found the program to be quite interesting. In terms of courses, to this date I don't think any course within the university has been interesting to me than the artsci courses i took (absolutely fell in love with argumentation). I feel like with the way LSAT is formatted artsci does help with building on your critical thinking and how to write well and expand your thinking (like outside the box!) (Specially on the logic portion, i found calc and stats to really help). However, I also found because I do know I'm more artsy than sciencey I did find myself regretting being in this program at times. I feel like because I couldn't handle the math and science portion of it, I found myself doing really bad in those courses (but I did also learn a lot). While I am very happy to learn the things I did learned, all I could think about was my gpa. Second year personally tanked my gpa to around the low 70s. Law schools really only care about your gpa and your LSAT score they really don't care what program or university you're coming out of. However, this is only just my experience!! If you find yourself to have a good foundation, this program can be very good for you!! I have a lot of friends within the program who are absolutely thriving and know people who have come out the program going into some really interesting and highly regarded grad program!! I feel like artsci is truly what you make of it and if you find yourself to be wanting to do a lot of things but not knowing which path is calling to you artsci could potentially help with that!! I also just completed my first two years of the program which a lot of people say are your hardest years in artsci. By third and fourth year you really get to choose what you want to and found people saying it was more engaging and resurrected their gpa. You are also given the opportunity to do a combined honours!! I feel like because I got the opportunity to do a combined honours in sociology it helped me look more and expand my career choices and maybe consider social work and look into grad programs i previously did not consider!! Again this is strictly just my experience so don't take this super to heart!! Figuring out your future can be really stressful and scary but I hope the best for you and feel free to message if you have any more questions about artsci, i'd be happy to answer or find someone who can!!

  5. Thank you for taking the time to respond. The combined honours is actually pretty interesting I’m hoping that I can pursue biochemistry for now. Thank you for the insight I’ll definitely reach out if I have more questions :)

  6. I was wondering how coop for biochem is. I know the program itself is hard but I’ve been seeing people say that if you’re not in eng or math the coop program is not worth it.

  7. I have this thing where when I’m burnt out I hyper fixate on some random olympic sport for a couple of days. In September Vincent’s slow dancing in the dark popped up on my recommended and I love that song and I still love Vincent so I was completely mesmerized. From there it went to Yuna Kim to Yuzu and my obsession has stuck for a couple of months now. I was lucky to experience the olympics my first year watching although because of how invested I was it was really stressful to watch given everything that has happened…

  8. I was procrastinating a physics project and got Vincent’s slow dancing in the dark recommended to me on youtube. From there I was recommended Yuna’s someone like you, then Yuzu in general, then Sasha’s unstoppable. I was hooked within a day and almost ended up doing my project on skating 😭

  9. OMG ME TOO I didn’t know that nicknames were such a thing in russian so zhenya, sasha, dasha… I was lostt

  10. oh noo I got them this morning for $40 I guess I got lucky but lmk if you’re going i’m gonna be lonely 😭😭
