  1. I've lifted it with a jack before, piece of wood the size of the oil pan between the jack and the engine. Perhaps not the smartest idea, but I've done it.

  2. Bought from LMR so I doubt I’ll have any or getting this sorted out and I wasn’t going to be installing this immediately but still annoying. My first “problem” with LMR so far

  3. I had a similar experience with two of their power steering products. I told them, and they overnighted me a replacement, free of charge.

  4. Pop that red clip and use some electrical aerosol cleaner spray. Then when you reconnect use a little dielectric grease in the fitting to keep out moisture.

  5. How do I clean inside each individual terminal? I ain't got nothing that fits inside other than a pick

  6. I used a scotch brite pad or a very find sand paper. Just don't be super aggressive.

  7. The terminals are still enclosed, those small cylinders

  8. Nvidia- costs more for same raster performance/much better ray tracing performance/usually lower on vram but has better compression in a lot of cases (you can see a lot of tests where Nvidia's 8gb vs AMD's 8gb are better, same for 12gb) /better for workload thanks to cuda cores/ consumes less power for same performance in all cases (rx 7000 vs rtx 4000).

  9. I've got everything but the GPU, it'll be workload/development/gaming build. I was thinking 4070 Ti. I could grab a 4080S, but I don't know if I trust these new Super 4000 cards.

  10. The super series, if comparing msrp or at least nearly there, are much more worthy price/performance, a 4070 ti super could be a sweetspot for you, 16gb of vram and the extra performance (which should be close to a 4080, still need to wait for the release date to be sure but the 4070S it's honestly impressive and that's the gpu the 4070 originally should've been for that msrp). Still if you can grab a 4080/4080S it would be pretty nice, depending how the old 4080s fall in price when the new releases will come.

  11. Are you saying I should go for the 4080S, 4070 Ti Super, wait and hope the 4080 gets cheaper, or just get a 4070 Ti?

  12. Get some over cleaner with lye in it, spray it all over, leave it in a trash bag overnight, it’ll get everything off. At least it did for me, though you will have to reseason it.

  13. From 80-88 they are. But those cars have the same spindle as a Fox mustang. The ‘89-‘97 thunderbirds and cougars (and ‘93-‘98 Lincoln Mark 8s) are on the MN12 platform and nothing from those interchanges with a Fox/SN95 car.

  14. Would a ‘92 Grand Marquis, ‘95 Town Car, ‘95 Explorer, ‘92 Sable, or any Rangers or Econolines, of that era, work?

  15. If they’ll swap two of my wheels to 5 lug, I’m interested, is that what you mean?

  16. The flapper may be stuck in position. Mine was full of mice and squirrel shit etc.

  17. It worked fine a few months ago, just got back to working on it, replacing the heater core, and it stopped working.

  18. You bent the wire that goes through the cable, that will make it work like shit. Take the cable completely off, replace it.

  19. That makes a lot of sense, I knew it had something to do with my heater core job, thanks.

  20. Looks damaged but I think it's part of the clock spring. What year is your car?

  21. ‘88, and there isn’t a clock spring on it, so must be.

  22. is the evaporator disconnected from the AC system? Because with it connected, it won't go back far enough.

  23. The evaporator or accumulator? I can disconnect the accumulator from the evaporator, but the other line isn't a bolt on, I don't know how to separate the fittings.

  24. You need an ac/fuel line disconnect tool, I’ve made them before in a pinch out of the lid of a sharpie. Cut off about an inch of the lid, cut it down the middle, wrap that around the line and push it into the fitting and pull on the line.

  25. I got it without removing it, thanks.

  26. Does your camera have an insane shutter speed or is that belt stationary?

  27. Yeah, I wish… this was just after I turned the car off.

  28. Old school tip: smell the steam/smoke. Coolant water has a weird sweet smell and oil is gonna smell like burning. My guess is that you have cracked the water pump and/or timing chain cover and are steaming off the hot engine block. Look for orange rust like marks around the front of the engine.

  29. There wouldn’t be any coolant at the timing chain, would there?

  30. That is a nice k member, I gotta get me one of those

  31. Sounds like bare wires grounding. And I’m guessing you don’t have a key for the hatch?

  32. You’re right, the lock cylinder was fucked up by the previous owner.

  33. The climbing would suggest so, but I’m no rat snake expert.

  34. Yeah, that’s why I said that.

  35. What are those wheels? I love them

  36. https://cosmisusa.com/collections/xt-006r/products/xt-006r-hyper-bronze-wheel-18x11-8-5x114-3-xt006r-1811-8-5x114-3-hbr

  37. Check the power and ground, mine had a bad ground wire.
