  1. What species of plant is this? What part of the planet are you located on? Did it have leaves earlier in the summer, or has it looked like this all season?

  2. I’m not sure what species this is, I’ll ask some neighbors tomorrow since it seems common around the neighborhood. I’m located around Austin, Texas. It had leaves last autumn (October 2022) then started losing the leaves a couple months after and never really came back since. The tree and branches seem like they’re getting taller and longer.

  3. If you ever broke off a branch off another tree, and looked at the broken part, you may have noticed there is some green. That green is the living flesh of the tree.

  4. It was “easy” but I’d have to preface that I’ve been fortunate to not have any student loans, I was eligible for financial aid and had grants. I’m introverted and didn’t have much of a social life so most of my time in college was spent studying or working. Graduated college and most of my time after that was just working. Three years later, I bought one side of a duplex for $300K with 10% down, about a two hour round trip commute from work, one roommate that helped paid for the mortgage. Sold it three years later, luckily the value increased (Seattle metro area, back in 2014-2017) so I was able to take that money and moved to a lower cost of living city (2017, suburb of Austin). This current house has appreciated like crazy, may do what I did and sell this house and move to a lower cost of living city.

  5. $185K in Austin, Texas. 11 years experience, all at the same company. BS in Accounting.

  6. Years 1-3: $16-$25 per hour as Staff Accountant. Years 4-6: $50K-$90K Accounting Supervisor Years 7-8: $100K-$120K Accounting Manager. Years 9-10: $130-$160K Accounting Director. Year 11: $185K VP of Finance.

  7. This doesn’t answer your tax question, but if it’s an option I’d just ask the payor to issue a new check with the business name. I’d of course return it shred the original.

  8. $25,000. I think it was more of an attempt at trying to retain me. I’ve been here for 10 years and started talking about retirement recently.
