  1. Pretty sure on LinkedIn that counter increases as soon as someone clicks "apply". It doesn't actually track people who complete applications, especially considering they often link to an external careers page.

  2. I work in tech consulting and I'm pulling 12-14h days and weekends at the minute.

  3. IME SDET is generally just what QAs are called now even with close to zero software engineering skills. It’s a self-defeating cycle, generally anyone with stronger coding skills becomes a SWE for significantly better pay, so on average an SDET provides less value and are paid less.

  4. It kind of depends, there are a ton of highly technically skilled testing professionals, if you're a performance test specialist for example I suspect you'd walk into a very well remunerated job anywhere even in this current market. We find them multiple times harder to get than devs

  5. This is a great pick. Especially when you consider 100 random humans will have a lot of Chinese and Indian people who've likely never skated.

  6. Yeah well I was going to pick cricket but I'm rethinking now you've said this.

  7. No they haven't been eaten. But Martinez, true to his word, will eat you.

  8. You need to raise this with your company, and they in turn may need to raise this with their accountants or internal accounts team.

  9. Whilst the security isn't there, the money is better, at least compared to the perm offer. Will just need to see how much of the daily rate I get, after taxes, student loan etc.

  10. Are they both civil service? Civil Service contract role is probably as secure as a lot of private sector perm roles at the minute

  11. Makes sense, yes i am looking in that category myself. I did out of curiosity look for roles in lower pay brackets (mid level) to see if it was any better but it still looked empty there as well :( .

  12. Just ask them. I asked one the other day. He told me it was horrendous 😂. He also said he was expecting it to pick up new FY but it hasn't really, and his last thread of hope was that there's still a lot of people on holiday.

  13. Yeah none of the recruiters are volunteering to share market information recently, i have had a couple in the past but its rare. I will make sure i ask them next time as it should be a two way street, i tell them my side and they tell me their side.

  14. He also said the few roles he is getting are taking up significantly more time than before because of the sheer amount of applicants. Although he did say a huge amount were low quality. The role he was putting me forward for was quite niche and he said of the hundreds of applicants he'd only put 3 forward, absolutely tons of speculative CVs got sent in with very few actually matching the requirements

  15. Honestly I’d think Jeff Nippard is being honest, he’s just got turbo autism and is vertically challenged so he doesn’t pass the eye test for most people

  16. I've completely 180d on Nippard. I was convinced he was juicy but after listening to a lot of his stuff, and considering he's like 2' tall along with how long he's been training and how autistic he is about everything I think he's natty.

  17. Only flop was Willian. Ridiculous success rate.

  18. And that ended okay. He left in a very reasonable manner, it didn't cost too much, everyone's happy.

  19. He and his roommates NEVER took out the trash. Like ever. Huge pile of full trash bags in the kitchen, almost reaching the ceiling, with trash in all the cabinets too. Every great once in a while, they would rent a U-Haul to take it to the dump. So confusing to me, but I didn’t know how to help them break the cycle. Nice guys, but sheesh.

  20. When I was living with friends we had this Buckaroo like system. Where you put your trash in the trash can until the point you couldn't get any more in without it falling out. Whoever was the person to reach that point took it out. Looking back it was pretty awful.

  21. Might be, although in my personal experience the cat intentionally sits on the laptop.

  22. Can anyone please explain? I am so out of the loop.

  23. daddy.aioli is a fitness influencer with a lot of big sponsorships including YoungLA. A video surfaced of him abusing a cat, choking it, punching it etc. Someone in this sub contacted Lee, and Lee has been calling the POS out for it.

  24. That’s the year Anchorman was released

  25. No. I won't have it. Anchorman was released liked three years ago at most.

  26. I’m not exactly sure what yours look like, but I never wore those shoes and I (from my mom’s side) have the same pinky toes. Curled behind my ring toe, very short.

  27. This is a family trait of ours on my maternal side. Mine's pretty normal but a bunch of them have tiny pinky toes.

  28. Oh. Like Helicobacter pylori?

  29. About the fact that you need a certain amount of protein per kg of body weight, exceeding that number by lots won't give you a crazy progress, it's not gear, just protein.

  30. Did I miss where this person stated a figure? They just said lots. People looking for hypertrophy or muscle retention should absolutely eat lots of protein relative to a standard Western diet.

  31. Yep. You'll not go wrong with Robin Hood's Bay and Whitby. Whitby can get very tourist busy though

  32. Worst I've seen (or heard) Ally tbh. He was treating it like he was watching a Sunday league game with his mates. Seemed a little unprofessional at times. He was happy blatant fouls werent being given, bizarre

  33. He said "I think the ref's been great" and 30 seconds later complained that he was letting loads go and that he must have a bet on less than 10 fouls. Really weird from him tonight.

  34. Yeah not a professional darts player but I'd encourage this kind of thing. Better for the game as a whole but also it's my opponent, he can do what he likes.

  35. It's just a weird route in general but not the weirdest thing ever. 99% of times you see that checked out it's going to be two trebles and a double. Pikachu was being a massive baby about it though.

  36. Tools. If it's something you'll regularly use then spend that bit more on quality.

  37. I've bought a few quality tools over the years and this is so accurate. My Bahco socket set is probably the one that stands out, definitely my favourite tool.

  38. Those new Fairy bottles with the anti-leak lids are game changers

  39. They really are. I was sceptical but my god they last a long long time. And no, I'm not a "big washing up liquid" shill

  40. Littler's little look after Pietreczko had a word in his ear actually made me laugh out loud. Kid's got a very expressive face.

  41. Unbeatable fragrance. I've worn it ten years now and will continue to wear it as long as they make it.

  42. I got the 200ml perfume for just around ÂŁ130 at Christmas and a body spray and an aftershave balm so I can layer up like mad, the last two were less than half price as a part of a discount bundle. Very Happy indeed

  43. Nice! The only thing with Terre D'Hermes is that it almost always works out cheaper per ml to buy the 30ml+125ml refill than it is just to buy 125ml refills which isn't the end of the world but it's annoying.
