  1. Throw the stool to break it, get a freebie bludgeoning weapon that raises your strength to 19.

  2. If we're talking cost, FFXI might be the hardest, followed closely by FFXIV, because they're the longest final fantasy games with the most story content to be adapted.

  3. I recently fought him for the first time out of curiosity (on Tactician), just to see what his fight was like. Kinda annoying, but not as bad as I was expecting.

  4. You can change his class at Withers - it's totally possible to do, it just doesn't make sense lore-wise because a pact with a devil or patron in DnD can literally only be broken if the patron agrees to do so. So even if you change his class in-game to something like Wizard or Cleric, the story still plays out the same. Larian designed it to be possible to change the classes of any origin character with the reminder that the new class won't make sense for their story, and the story will still treat them as being their original class.

  5. I wish they had implemented specific containers for the different types of items in your inventory beyond crafting materials, keys, and food. I always pick up any backpacks and pouches I find and distribute them across my characters so I can store spells and potions in their own containers instead of having them clutter up my inventory. I know they have menu filters but I like a clean uncluttered inventory. Fortunately, there are mods that address this problem on PC.

  7. The death shepherds are actually a joke when you use crowd control spells like grease or Ice Storm to create difficult terrain so they just keep tripping on their own feet, and funnel all the zombies and ghouls into a narrow space so you can nuke them with AOE spells like Fireball or Lightning Bolt. I did this fight on tactician with a level 6 party, Draconic Bloodline sorc, Gale, Lae'zel (class swapped to berserker barbarian), and Astarion.

  8. I'm running into a similar problem on PC (since patch 4, actually) where I talk to Raphael at the Thorm Mausoleum and he tells Astarion he will translate his scars in exchange for us killing Yurgir, but then when I initiate dialogue with Astarion my vampy elf talks as if he wasn't in the conversation with Raphael, and my journal updates with "Raphael left without providing the answer for Astarion's scars. We should find him in Baldur's Gate." Very frustrating, and I'm not wanting to proceed in my campaign until it's fixed. :(

  9. Right after talking to Raphael, so it goes:

  10. Actually if you talk to Art in Moonrise Towers (he's there with all your allies) after defeating Ketheric Thorm in Act 2, he says he's going to stay with Thaniel and that he feels that he doesn't have much time left now that the shadowcurse is broken. But if you didn't talk to him there, then yeah his letter would be a surprise.

  11. Astarion's repeatable kiss cutscene is still broken for me, the animation still won't trigger.

  12. I want to play as a Tabaxi, Owlin, Aarakocra, or Firbolg - gimme my animal races.

  13. There is also an application you can use to manually unlock achievements for games you own in Steam, making it even more pointless to block achievements. I understand why they include the achievement disabled feature - sort of - but since the mods I want to install are either cosmetics or an increase to the player party size, I just find it an annoying inconvenience that I have to work around.

  14. It's called SAM (Steam Achievement Manager). You can download it off of Github here: github. com/gibbed/SteamAchievementManager/releases

  15. Well at level 3, if you’re a rogue that’s throwing spells around then you’re probably an Arcane Trickster. It’s important to know how mechanics like advantage and disadvantage work in this game, because a lot of the rogue’s power comes from having advantage in order to pull off high damage sneak attacks. Your tiger girl is presumably Lae’zel, who is better off using a 2h weapon at close range, because she is a Fighter class with a high strength stat (gives her better chance to hit enemies with strength-based melee weapons). Shadowheart, your “girl with the cube” is a cleric with support spells to heal and buff your party, as well as debuff enemies. The man you pulled out of the portal is a squishy wizard who will benefit from fighting at range with damage spells and crowd control spells like Fog, Sleep, or Grease.

  16. Not a bug. There’s even an achievement for it on Steam. It’s a reward for beating an optional boss.

  17. I save way more than I reload. It’s like a “just in case X happens” situation. I’ve save scummed a fight or two though, especially the Zhent hideout and the Spectator.

  18. how do you meet the guardian now do you have to eat one of the parasites?

  19. I met my Guardian by getting close to the mountain pass entrance. I triggered the scene where the artifact protects me from the Absolute’s influence and then in my next long rest the Guardian appeared.

  20. I have only once succeeded in romancing Gale, and it was super early on in EA. After that, he kept bugging out in the Grove so I would just not get any of his scenes aside from the "go to hell" scene in camp. One game, he never even asked Tav for artifacts, despite me finding many, and I got all the way to the end of the Underdark section without any progress with his character. Very frustrating.

  21. Tanks don't really exist in 5e due to the fact there isn't an "Aggro" system or a way to taunt beyond a few specific spells and features that for the most part aren't in bg3.

  22. Paladin does have a "compelled duel" spell, which is essentially a ranged taunt. Compelled Duel can force an enemy to attack only the paladin on a failed wisdom save. It basically debuffs the enemy to have disadvantage on attack rolls against any character that isn't the paladin.

  23. I was but no one from my community is interested in the game. 🤷‍♂️

  24. There's also the possibility of joining an open session in the Multiplayer lobby. Make some friends there!

  25. Doing a co-op run and a solo run. :) My friend and I game together four nights a week, so I'll be bouncing back and forth between campaigns.

  26. I can't even get the cooking scene to trigger, much less the Mystra scene. I haven't seen anything past his mirror image cutscene in any of my gameplay runs since maybe patch 4? I am not usually super intentional about it, but it shouldn't be nearly this hard. He seems to bug out for me and he never even asks me for magical items to eat anymore.

  27. These dramas are consistently in my top 10:

  28. Someone else mentioned Love Between Fairy and Devil, and I also wanted to add Eternal Love: Three Lives, Three Worlds, Ten-thousand Miles of Peach Blossoms, which was my first xianxia and also still my top favorite. Fantastic cast.

  29. Well, in my heart it’s ten thousand miles, lol. I’ve read the book a couple times but it’s been a while. I’ve also read The Pillow Book and am currently finishing up watching the drama. I really do enjoy Donghua and Fengjiu’s story, but I guess the angst of the first one just fit my taste best.

  30. Anyone else finding loads of different arrow types annoying? I get that they're all useful, it's just there's no auto swap if you run out mid fight, and it's annoying to swap if your fingers are already trying to punch the next combo.

  31. I didn't find it very annoying. I only really used normal arrows and paralysis arrows. I used normal arrows because i got a bow with the perk of changing normal arrows to fire ones, and I just built my character around dealing fire damage. So, armor of Agamemnon set with elemental damage buildup and duration engravings, Hades' Bow, Dagger of Kronus and Minotaur's Labrys engraved with fire damage. I could build up fire damage in about 2-3 hits with a dagger, then the damage would proc for 29s, a minimum of 6k on a normal proc and like 28k or more on a crit, dealing anywhere between 174,000 and 812,000 fire damage over time.

  32. It was more that I needed to press left 4 times to get to the arrows I wanted. It was generally a bit late by then..

  33. I compensated by making sure, as often as I could, that I had the arrows I wanted active prior to engaging in battle. But yes, having to tap five times to get back around to the arrow type you want is annoying.

  34. Three months late, but I'll give you my reasons for disliking it:
