I was assigned to read this book in 8th grade. I’m 19 now and just reread it + the sequel, and I never realized how sad the story actually is. Especially Lorraine's— her mother flat tells her “You’re not a pretty girl” and slut shames Lorraine over what if situation.
This wasn’t on letterboxd, but a coworker once told me he hated the Mash finale (letterboxd considers it a movie so that means I will too) because it was “too depressing.”
Don’t forget her review of Harold and Maude. “This is a bad movie because this kid is rich and has the nerve to hate his life.” I guess rich people can’t have mental health issues and narcissistic mothers?
Ikr?? I understand why it’s not universally loved as much as the first two, but Norman and Maureen were honestly a good couple and I wished things turned out for the better with them :(
Due to the airing order of the episodes, Margaret's near pregnancy could only been Hawkeye. They had their interlude a few episodes before. Then she's late. He then bends over backwards to help her. Could be his character development but if they were to do similar in a show today, he'd been the only viable choice.
I don’t believe Hawkeye had any idea that it could have been his hypothetical child. He definitely would have been a lot more annoying about it if he did.
In her autograph she went on about how she and Gene wanted a baby so badly, and said something to the effect of “Can you imagine the hair of our child?” I hardly cry in public but that had me sobbing my eyes out in the middle of the second hand book store.

Sally Jane Black's reviews of Parasite and Saving Private Ryan are agonizingly bad to read.

Jaws?
My personal attraction to redheads started with Drop Dead Fred but Cameron DEFINITELY made me realize it was a thing lol
Remember when they had a miniature Hank as one of Tina's classmates?
Somehow I missed that!
Psycho 3
Psycho 3 is so damn underrated, i love that movie

Loretta Swit as Margaret Houlihan is hardly brought up in these types of conversations and I wish she was more!!
The Baby (1973) is absolutely the most fucked up movie I have ever seen
She was supposed to be bisexual, but the lesbian storyline was given to Debbie due to Emmy Rossum's departure

Not to brag, but I came up with a series of post war theories
There was something I wrote
Because Frank is someone to take life advice from…

The Brady Bunch
Can't say I’m surprised
I too would listen to Alan Alda's audiobook on a steak out
Annie Hall, Hannah and Her Sisters, Crimes and Misdemeanors and Manhattan come to mind
Bullets Over Broadway is a great one too
More American Graffiti (1979), and Psycho 2 (1980) (but Psycho 2 is actually great)
Harold and Maude is my all time favorite feel good movie (and movie in general), and then The Apartment and Better Off Dead for comfort films
I miss the days when A list celebrities and Oscar winners weren’t afraid to do silly and stupid movies😔
Harold and Maude for a literal meaning
Gilda Radner had all the male cast at the time fighting over her…
Died way too young. RIP. Could you imagine Gilda now? Fuck.
