IVs are largely irrelevant. Shadow pokemon have 20% higher attack. Optimal/legacy moveset can improve a pokemon's attack by up to 20% over 2nd best moveset. 1st vs 2nd best species of a typing can differ by 5-15%. Powering a mon up below lvl 30 (or 2x above lvl 30) will increase it's attack by 1.25%. A high CP mon with 100% vs 0% IVs will differ by about 2-5% in attack power (meaning 100% vs 70% differs by 1%, less than a single power up) - yet we toss 70%s and we worship hundos.
There's a gym by my street that's permanently yellow. It's stacked with Blissey, A.Muk, Slaking, Togekiss, Snorlax, Gyarados. I have taken it down twice in recent months, but the owners are proficient berriers and it's not worth my half hour 😂

It's not American only, sadly. I've played on cities in the UK where every hardcore player sets off in a convoy of cars for raid days and community days, auto catchers doing the heavy lifting. I've also played in cities in the UK where there's plenty of walking from raid to raid, it really just depends on the community in that area. I do really dislike the groups that just drive around in their town centre all day because they can't be assed to walk... what a waste of petrol!
Evo XP was previously the only good thing about these duds. Now you can get more XP from just hitting excellent throws on an hour walk. Plus who even still cares about XP, vast majority of players are over level 38 these days.
