That just doesn’t sound right. I have seen pictures of severe gum damage and they all got help. If your root showing all the way of your teeth because I’ll call that severe but if not then I’m sure you need a second opinion.
this subreddit doesn’t allow pictures. the first dentist said that there was bone loss as well as the angle that the tooth was on that made the graft “impossible”. i’m still gonna get more opinions and i’m not gonna give up!!
neutrogena body clear body wash (it’s orange) has helped with my back acne. using it once or twice a day in the shower has given me some results. it doesn’t clear everything up magically but in my opinion it makes it better. i know exactly what you’re feeling and i’m sorry you’re going through this:( as cliche as it sounds, people aren’t analyzing you as hard as you’re analyzing yourself - we really are our own worst critics. i’m here for you <3
I was never a big fan of that “band nerd bullying” stereotype; I never experienced that in high school or college and don’t know anyone that did. Not saying it never happened anywhere ever, but I’ve never personally experienced it or heard of anyone else actually experiencing it (even in the 90s when I was still in school).
i’ve never liked it either. my paper is kinda about that! - how most stereotypes show band kids as just band kids but in reality they are talented musicians with individual personalities! how we don’t feel like nerds, and for the most part “bullying” is sparse but still present here and there.
Hey; just wanted to say I have recessed gums (though for diff reasons) and understand some of the general doom you can feel from having them. I had a graft done for six teeth back in eighth grade, but I'm mid 20's now and they're right back where they started, basically.
wow thank you so much for this reply :,) i almost teared up when you said you were proud bc making that appointment was scary. truly terrifying thinking of what i’m going to say to this professional and thinking they’re gonna look at my like i’m crazy for willingly destroying my mouth.
