  1. He even said it in the video. Faker has a rep of rising to the occasion. Who has been to back to back world's finals and who has bombed out in embarrassing fashion in those 2 years?

  2. I'm sure Faker is proud of how he was a liability at MSI last year and also got rolled into a blunt by Zeka.

  3. Yea the literally goat of league is really sweating some under performances.

  4. Well, he probably wouldn't be the goat if he didn't.

  5. Celeste keeps teaching you new tricks until the very end.

  6. So that’s why LEC moved to the 3 split format. It was heavily rumored back then too that this was the reason and other leagues are set to follow.

  7. LPL can't just move to 3 splits with 17 teams, though.

  8. I doubt they do a full 3 splits. Its probably gonna be something like whoever's first and second into a 2 week break or maybe just top 4 and single elim at that point in the split.

  9. LPL standings in the current single round robin is heavily strength of schedule based. You can't just grab top 4 to play out a small playoff bracket halfway through.

  10. if KC sells him, they are griefing themselves.

  11. And if they don't, they'll keep Targamas around and grief themselves anyway.

  12. Something about mostly liking story games, but then actively looking for a game to dump 1000 hours into doesn't make sense to me. Most timesink games are hard carried by gameplay.

  13. I aint on Doublelifts side but man is Dom not the right person to deliver this message. This dude is the most omega biased LPL stan i have ever seen and he delivers all of his content with a smug superior voice saying some bullshit like “lpl top 4 teams in the world.”

  14. That LPL stan also says Chovy is the best player in the world right now.

  15. DL is his biggest competition for NA co streams.

  16. I think the overlap in people who are interested in watching them is pretty small.

  17. Flex Pyke reminds me of better times for EU.

  18. Streets will remember DRX doesn’t win Worlds if Juhan doesn’t pop off in regionals

  19. If Haru gets a skin for 2017, and Duke gets one for 2018, then Juhan definitely deserves one.

  20. Mb, I had no memory of him playing any games, so I assumed he didn't have a skin. It's 2 games against wildcard teams in play ins, so that kinda explains why they weren't very memorable.

  21. Just look at some of the answers to your post lol, some people calling him on par with eastern toplaners because... He won one meaningless game against the east and solokilled Bin on a giga countermatchup while playing one of the most broken champ of the patch, that's literally all he did. He looked completely outclassed in every other game he played against eastern team.

  22. My favorite part about the Licorice solokilled Bin narrative is that it never happened. He did solokill 369, though.

  23. Side note, if you include Demacia Cup which included stage matches (though it makes complete sense why one wouldn't), TES and BLG both jump to 58.

  24. Did they even play with the same roster in demacia cup? It always feels like half of the rosters are a bunch of randoms.

  25. its the meta to shit on LEC format, but Fnatic having 51 stage games is definitely nice to see

  26. FNC doesn't do less than the maximum amount of games in a series unless it's against G2.

  27. CrossCode is great. However, it's not a roguelite, so it's going to take a while before you can start branching out your skills and change up your playstyle. It also has quite a bit of puzzling.

  28. I still believe in the guy, if he is in any spot to compete with Thanatos then that can only be a good thing.

  29. I dunno, having a hyped Korean rookie come over just to have him compete for his spot right from the start just feels like unnecessary additional pressure.

  30. If a player takes up an import slot then there should be high expectations on them. If a player without one does their job better then the team can get a better import in another role. He is used to having to compete for a shot vs other Korean rookies. I don't think one Fudge is that much more extra pressure.

  31. Thanatos has high expectations because he is one of the most hyped Korean prospects in recent years, not because he is an import. Sure, he is probably competing for his spot in Korea, but at least he was in his own country while doing so.

  32. The amount of times i read a similar comment over the years just for the team to shit the bed.

  33. 'Everyone can be a carry, but nobody knows how to protect one' pretty sums up this C9 roster.

  34. LCK just does everything better. Observers, stories, gameplay, finding metas, crowds and the hype is just something that viewers get excited for. They put so much effort into giving the viewer the best possible experience and it's working.

  35. Would be nice if those observers toned it down on some of their extended replays.

  36. If I can beat the game without using consumables without having that ruin my enjoyment of the game, I would usually prefer that.

  37. Even if Hylli was a bigger problem, there's hardly any options in EU to replace him.

  38. The last time LCK finals was this competitive, Griffin was still in the league.

  39. Lol, let Riot spend their own money instead of suggesting the GoFundMe campaign, or they might actually do it.

  40. Dont worry, I think they would rather deliver a half cooked product, than have someone pick up their slash.

  41. Sure, but we need people who are responsible doing that criticizing. Otherwise we get these two clowns. One who got too big for his britches and the other who thinks he's a god of all things esports. Both are more relevant than I am, but that's about as far as I'd admit.

  42. I think Monte is generally very reasonable. Sure, he comes off as a smug asshole, but he wouldn't throw out attacks that are uncalled for.

  43. I dont think throwing suspicion out there was uncalled for, but yeah, he definitely shouldnt have said it with the conviction he had. He acknowledged that, and he had the backlash coming for it. I dont know what more people want out of him to make this right. If analytically it doesn't make sense to him, it's not a problem to make that public.

  44. Yes and even if you take lcs results Blaber and inspired are basically even in regular split and playoffs (obviously the record is now in favor of inspired because of the 3-0 smacking) results. To say one is better than another is odd except if you think presently. Blaber was the better jungler in regular split spring 2022 by far even with the ls collapse. However inspired smacked blaber in playoffs with the summit collapse and team implosion. Inspired was the better jungler in regular split 2022 summer. However blaber smacked inspired in playoffs b4 the Danny collapse. Blaber and inspired took one game of each other in spring split 2023 but overall blaber was the better regular split and playoffs performing jungler. Blaber and inspired took one game of each other in spring split 2024 but overall inspired was the better regular split and playoffs performing jungler (although I would argue umti was far better than either inspired or blaber this playoffs). Like I feel as if you saying inspired is the clearly better than blaber is just not true. Both have had dominant series over each other, roster implosions, over performances and underperformances.

  45. My main problems with Blaber are that he quickly starts to look completely lost once lanes start losing (the Oner problem), that he hasn't really synergized with any of his midlaners since Nisqy (which are 6 of them), and tends to lose sight of the win conditions later in the game (which I guess Zven regularly reminded them of).

  46. It funny how you say he doesnt know his win conditions when zven has stated in streams, in his leaving video, in multiple interviews how much blaber does for the team in terms of getting them into positions to win or planning the first 15 minutes of the game. Fudge in his most recent podcast with C9 said that blaber is really good and has gotten much better at reading the win condition for his team and reminding of them of this. Like we are forgetting this guy frontlined for his team on kindred the beginning of summer 2023 creating space for berserker or how he would protect the president die for berserker in team fights so that berserker can clean up the fight all of spring 2023.

  47. I dunno if Zven even debunks my point. I would agree that Blaber early game planning is great. He's the main reason they win early game so often. I just don't think he adapts well on the fly.

  48. Factorio Rimworld Stardew Valley Counter Strike Runescape/WoW

  49. People are free to play the way they want, but if I had a summon tanking damage and boss aggro for me during a boss fight, that for me would defeat the entire point of playing a soulslike.

  50. Same here, it took a couple of tries for sure, but in my quest to get the celestial weapons, that one was barely memorable lol. Now dodging thunder 200 times... that was fucking annoying.

  51. Dodging the lightning wasn't even hard. You can just trigger it by walking in the right spot. It's really all just the dread of having to start over if you mess up.

  52. Cmon, it was the least offensive nazi joke in history. Literally the only people the joke made fun of were nazis themselves. He wasn't even in Germany ffs. Nobody would even know or care about it if Riot didn't put him on leave.

  53. Word on the street is that he made Nazi joke, it was posted to social media and he got kicked because of that.

  54. The least offensive Nazi joke in history, one might add.
