  1. Thank you guys so much for your detailed answers!! I can already tell this is such an engaged and warm community <3

  2. I have also been looking for an app that I can sync on my PC and phone to better organize my meal planning. I don't need anything fancy with shopping lists and all that, just a calendar with meals and maybe recipes. I had

  3. you may like Whisk! its really great and free, but doesn't do what I'm describing here. Great for finding/saving recipe and putting them into a calendar

  4. Can you post a screenshot of your final automation? I want to set up the notification thing with options but I don’t know how lol

  5. 750ish.. I'm assuming that's USD, and just for the stay, not including flights/transfers? Is that per person or total? How many days are you looking to go for?

  6. Thanks! Flying out of NYC - and yes that is the per night, not including flights or anything like that. Overall budget is a little hard to pin down from my boyfriend - we are looking to go away for about a week, but I'd say hoping to spend less than 1k for the both of us on flights, and then maybe 4500-5k for the resort? for the week, as max budget - but if something is a little over budget but feels worth the price increase its not off the table.

  7. What do you want to read? For me, the A5X is mostly a PDF reader for academic books and journals. A6X would definitely be too small for me. For other books it might not matter so much.

  8. TY for your insight! I anticipate mostly e-reads, and on occasion a PDF - I figure on the rare occasion I'm reading a PDF I can zoom or use my laptop.

  9. I have both and use my A6X as a reader. It's easier to take with if you are going to read at a coffee shop or such. I don't take the A5X out because it is bulkier and note taking on the A6X is sufficient. I have used it with PDFs, it's smaller but legible for standard font sizes, and you can crop it and also use magnify function.

  10. this is so thorough thank you!! I think I'm sold on the a6x but will try the paper trick mentioned above :)

  11. I'm 6'0, 220 pounds and I LOVE my Sure Grip Boardwalks. They're suede too, so they stretch for my wide feet - I don't know if large/wide feet are also a concern for your mom but So far I've felt really secure and happy with the skates, even if at first I was stressed about the price - it was worth the investment.

  12. thank you guys!! you're right, might as well take my skates and if its a bust the rentals are included :) ty!

  13. I have just posted the same question. I’m on meds daily varying dosage depending on the type of day it is. Had a week break in between uni courses. Found myself basically not able to function in the real world to a quite distressing degree. Interested to hear what people with more experience have to say, I can’t work out if I’m worse or if new medicated me is just so much better that I’m noticing it more.

  14. yes 100%!! and i’m a bit scared of the idea of being so unable to function without the meds after coping more or less for so long, even though the meds help SO much. i haven’t forgotten my keys or my purse like that in years - but i will say not having the anxiety or checking for my stuff all the time was really nice, didn’t realize how on edge i’ve been my whole life until i got home and couldn’t find the keys lol

  15. they are awesome i love mine so much! especially if you have wider feet

  16. I feel this so much!! I got the Sure-Grip Boardwalks and I love them but it was so frustrating finding skates that fit my feet, and I ended up spending so much more money than I wanted to! Hope the Bonts work

  17. These were the other boots I was looking at. If, for some reason, the Bonts don't work I'll likely spend just that bit of money more and end up with Boardwalks.

  18. the thing that got em fie the boardwalks is they are suede so they’ll break in - unlike so many of the vinyl skates!

  19. Hey commenting here a bit late but I just received my scabs unicorn set, the knee pads looked huge to me when I opened the package (I ordered L because my knee measurement vas 19-20) but I came on here checking how it looked on other people and it seems normal. In terms on sizing the knees are a bit snug but I think they will relax, elbows and wrist are a tad loose but I expected that since I'm more a medium in these areas. The material feels good quality and the holo effect looks so good in real life !

  20. awesome thank you!! I decided to get the stand alone derby knee pad, should get here Tuesday - i may get the holo set down the line its just so cute. Enjoy it :)

  21. I’ve never tried the moxi pads but I have been using my smith scabs pad set for over a year now and I really like them. They saved me a from super bad falls and they’re a lot slimmer than my partners 187 killer pads :) one thing I’ll say is they felt a lot tighter when I first got them and only were comfortable with leggings underneath, now they are stretched enough that they’re still snug but not suffocating. Hope this helps!

  22. awesome to hear! how did you find the sizing for the elbow and wrist pads? which size did you buy ? thanks!

  23. Suede generally does break in better but skates take longer to break in than normal shoes because you're 1. Not wearing them nearly as long as regular shoes and 2. Your foot doesn't move as much in a skate like it does in a shoe.

  24. i exchanged them and i love the boardwalks - thanks for your help all!

  25. thanks guys, i'm going to go exchange them for the suede - tested them out again today and it was not comfy !!

  26. Anyone in the Chicago area interested in Chaya Melrose deluxe skates? I have the pastel color with an indoor wheel set. I also replaced the bearings with new ones! I used them for two months so they are in good condition and wore toe caps with them most of the time. I want to sell them for 90 dollars + shipping if you are not in the area

  27. hi! i’m looking for suggestions of good beginner skates that are in stock!! - i’m interested in outdoor and dance skating. i wear a size 11 in women’s and would like to keep it under 150 if possible, which is a tough order but i really just want to try and can’t invest in a crazy expensive pair of skates! oh and i want them to be cute 🥺
