Imo, the main plot of Children is Leto's loss of faith - in religion, in his father, in everything. At the start, Leto and Ghanima are both like their father - people with good intentions put in difficult situations. The point of Children, as far as I see it, is that Leto comes to accept a mentality of "the ends justify the means". Of course there's more to it in the lore and further books, but the real conflict comes up in the battle between Leto and the Prophet: the latter states that he would never knowingly hurt a person, i.e. "the means justify the ends", whereas Leto concludes that morals are irrelevant in the face of annihilation, and that survival comes before any ethics, i.e. "the ends justify the means."
Yes. It's been a hot minute, but iirc Leto II had a visions of the future and in nearly every version humanity was destroyed. The way to prevent this was to rule authoritatively and brutally in order to create this sort of pressure that would lead to the Scattering, and ultimately human survival by way of proliferation beyond his reach. I could be wrong, it's been probably 15 years since I've read it.
I started microdosing to ease the cravings of nicotine. Then I would try smoke but then it would feel very unnatural, so I started smoking less and after smoking for nearly 8 years, I just stopped. The cravings weren't as intense and I only felt them when I saw someone on screen smoke. If I do drink alcohol, the cravings come back, especially when I'm drunk but without alcohol, second hand smoke will make me sick to my stomach and cause heartburn.
There are no cancer-related deaths but one character does pass off-screen due to a "mysterious illness" that is never named. There are other deaths in the film that are combat/battle related
We used to have a perfect lawn in our yard, then Bella grew up. Now we got craters dug by her snout. She catches mean sized dodents though, sometimes as big as a cat.
Amazing frame and build. Skin is skinning!
I really hate gagging so it's nice to have a pecker that would barely tickle my tonsils
Sucker for a hairy belly
Oh you're moving weight in them drawls
Gorgeous body hair
Marry me!
Damn you're fine.
Bone dry if I got the chance
Gorgeous view
Unqualified! Gotta have the credentials.
I know it smells divine.
Magnificent. I bet they smell great
I thought yakking meant puking
Dogs in the kitchen? Licking a cutting board? Yeah I wouldn't eat in that house.
So, I'm from a rural town in Venezuela, grew up without internet until I was about 17 years old.
Now you don't got no business being this foiiine!

You organised my thoughts more eloquently than I could. I absolutely agree with everything you said.

Iran and Afghanistan shit holes. As well as most of the Middle East. People complain about America because the standard for America is very high.
I agree that Iran and Afghan have their problems but calling them shitholes as if America has no hand in that status is certainly a take.
