  1. i usually will only savescum if i realize i screwed up during the turn of the screw up. screw up can be misclick, missing lethal because i didn't want to math, or forgetting a relic interaction that i had thought 'don't forget about that relic'. I will sometimes do it it with an interesting builds right before death when i wonder if it's possible for it to win but i don't take credit for the win.

  2. Slice of pizza was $11. Got me through the night until I got back to camp.

  3. do mobile seeds work for both android and ios or is it specific to each os?

  4. 5'9" and 155 lb. 157 daily driver. 161w backcountry. i've never had a board shorter than 156. surprised to see how many people have what i would consider pretty short boards.

  5. Have you considered making matlab write word documents and then using word to save the docs as pdfs?

  6. I have used matlab to batch write figures to word in the past and found that it was excruciatingly slow compard to writing to pdf. if you have any suggested methods i would be interested in looking into them though.

  7. What are you doing with the PDFs? I can't imagine having to look through 3600 figures. Instead, could you extract whatever sort of datapoint/trend/decision you want from each figure and then make summary figure(s)?

  8. they're just for documenting all test results. it's likely that no one will ever look at the pdfs. but they need to be saved and stored somewhere.

  9. Just get two used boards for cheap. Whatever you decide to do, buy your own boots (new).

  10. We drove a 28 yr old car before we replaced it with a very cool brand new car. Like going from horse and buggy to an actual car. ha ha. Still driving a 21 yr old car as it's back up, and I'm insulted when I have to fish the keys out of my pocket to open the car door and drive it.

  11. My wife drives a 20 year old car even though we can afford to upgrade. She likes it and that's fine with me. But I am right there with you about the keys whenever I have to drive it. How dare you make me take my keys out of my pocket to unlock or start you!

  12. Yeah, I've been checking it pretty often. It's a high demand flight

  13. You could get the mountain twin ultra. Pretty similar but has a slight set back and more rocker in the nose. I got one last season and while I haven't had it out in any super deep days it handled 12" of powder w no issue.

  14. i did 7 or 8 days on a proto fr at big sky MT last year. it fits the bill on everything you say you're looking for. it was fast and supremely stable through chopped up chutes and steep faces. it was surprisingly good carving on the groomers as well. my only beef with it was that it was TOO damped. I could barely get any pop out of it.

  15. That’s always the common complaint with NS. They put so much dampening in it, it sucks the life out of the board. My vote would be the Pantera or a Wired Vantage

  16. some people have no interest in air though and he didn't mention park or side hits. i am trying to improve my aerial game so i returned my proto fr. it was the fastest and most stable board i have ever ridden though so i almost kept it despite the lack of pop.

  17. Actual garbage human Sean Payton and fellow garbage human Gregggggg Williams did that to themselves. Madden had nothing to do with it.

  18. I took a good fall in the park landing on my hip pretty hard. My abdomen has been hurting all day. Has anyone experienced this before? What is hurt? There aren't any organs bones cartilage. Wtf?

  19. How did you kill time eater in 2 turns? I'm surprised 24 cards played killed him.

  20. If Trump had a legit appraisal of Mar-a-Lago that valued it at more than $18 million, it would be simple to submit that to the court and challenge their valuation.

  21. I dislike Trump as much as any progressive but was shocked by the 18mil valuation. That just seems crazy low. I then looked into it and found that Trump made a lot of easements on the property that restrict development and conversion to anything but a social club in order to get significant tax breaks. So because of all these limitations on any potential purchasers the value is significantly diminished. Boohoo

  22. If that's shallow, what's considered deep lol? You zoomed in on it right? I thought it was pretty deep. The 2nd picture seems shallow but the 1st pic is definitely deeper.

  23. if you go through the entire base and can see the core of the board, that is considered deep and should be repaired. Look up core shots. You didn't go all the way through the base so it's not a real concern or worth doing a repair.

  24. Looking for two tickets to the 3/14 or 3/28 LA shows. PayPal G&S only. Or meet in person.

  25. he's also selling as many tickets as you need to the LA shows too. and doesn't have a paypal. seems legit

  26. Own? 22 decks, Brands: Burton, Rossignol, Lamar, K2, Prior. Ridden at least 5 other brands (from memory) + my own homemade decks. Average 25-30 days/season. Haven't found a brand that breaks more than others tbh.

  27. Oof. I hear so much about how eco friendly and responsible Jones boards are. I bought one last season, mostly because it was a good price for a good board. That said, I'm surprised to see they are made in a factory in Dubai by 100% migrant workers. Don't love that.

  28. I've been getting to know some new (to me) parts of Mammoth lately. There's basically zero signage on anything beyond the lower trails.

  29. Who cares what the run is called? Name doesn't change anything. I have no idea what most runs are named ,besides the ones off the top. If you aren't confident in where you're going, you should look into it using a printed map, mammoth app, or ikon app, instead of asking someone on the lift on the way up.

  30. Haven't used GPS tracking in a few years because of battery life. Back then, my friends and I would compete to see who could get the highest speed. Top I ever got was a bit less than 65mph. Braked so hard on one of those attempts that my rear foot partially came out of the binding. I dont try to go that fast anymore.

  31. It was flat on your chest? I think you might have broken your ribs either way, man. It's like a quarter inch thick.

  32. Hm. After pushing my phone against my ribs at the pointy part I could see how it would do that.

  33. You’ve ridden less days in your 28 years of riding then lots of people do in 1 season so your preaching is kind of funny when you barely even ride.

  34. Woah, man! He does bowls, park, and even east coast double blacks dude. I think he knows what he's talking about!

  35. "not falling" is not a measure of how proficient you are. based on what you said i would say that yes, it's too early for you to start riding a stiff (mostly) full camber board if it's sized for your weight. if it's undersized then the stiffness won't be as significant of an effect. it sounds like you're starting to push into the intermediate rider range. get a board that is more appropriate for an intermediate.
