Darby is platoon but at pre rangers everywhere squad tactics are still taught. You’ll get taught the platoon side of things if you make it to Darby. 20 boards are still being taught off of during pre ranger. Those same 20 boards are in the back of the RHB. The changes to platoon are because of LSCO. Other pending changes (in my opinion) are because certain individuals want to have a higher success/graduation rate. Feel free to PM me questions.

I wear one 90% of the time. On really gorgeous days when I’m not going far I may skip wearing it but, admittedly, it’s not a smart choice. It’s not a matter of if, but when you’ll drop a bike, most of the time it’s something dumb at a very low speed. But that’s a very light bike with a big motor. I’d recommend keeping the lid on even after you get comfortable.
