  1. I never take flowers off tomatoes or tomatillos - always get more fruit than I need regardless.

  2. I've got them trellised with a Florida weave so far it's doing great

  3. Sweet. They branch out way more than tomatoes though - I never seem to leave enough space for them.

  4. I planted mine almost 3' apart, I'm hoping it'll be enough lol

  5. Looks like the dog was also enjoying the view, unless you are a dog? Plants look great to me.

  6. Hahaha shockingly I am not the dog. And thank you! Yeah, most of the plants aren't root bound which is a pleasant surprise.

  7. Dang, I was hoping that we finally had a dog posting here on reddit, for that new point of view.

  8. I got into blacksmithing because of my PTSD. I thought it might be some kind of therapy, and it has been. I look forward to seeing the progress on your spoon! Spoons are one of my absolute favorite things to forge. Definitely don't push yourself too hard, pacing yourself is the right way to go, well done!

  9. Cheers! I made the resolution to become my own boss and Blacksmiths are in high demand. Taking my engineering and fabrication background and applying my love for historical methods and techniques for armor and tool recreation and research.

  10. I get it, I'm working at becoming my own boss as well. I must admit I'm a little envious that blacksmiths are in high demand where you live. That is not so much the case in the states. I admire your determination and wish you the best in your endeavors. I'm sure with all the things you bring to the blacksmithing table, you'll be successful :)

  11. I love this sauce soooo much. An unknown treasure for sure. You should also try their St. Augustine sauce. Both of their sauces are two of my favorites.

  12. They'll take more than 3-4 days to recover from aphid attacks. They look yellow though, so a diluted (1/2 or 1/4 strength) fertilizer dose should help. Give them good lights.

  13. I'm in Virginia 7b. The weather has been nuts. Yesterday we had snow, rain and hail all in a span of hours. The wind here is terrifying. I swear the gust here are going to tear off our roof one day.

  14. Wow that's crazy! I'd imagine you have a much later planting time than me. When do you usually put your transplants into the ground?

  15. The people around me always say after Mothers Day. The last frost date here was listed as March 31st I think.

  16. Well clearly they were off about the last frost date if you got snow two days ago!

  17. I am tempted. If they've got a single aphid on them when it comes time to plant everything, I will not be planting them.

  18. I was doing a good job not buying anymore hot sauces right now and here you go posting this. How dare you lol. Well I'm just gonna have to get it 😂. Can you tell me what the ingredients are?

  19. Brooklyn Delhi hot sauce (guntur sannam or ghost version), Hellfire roasted garlic reaper, Sriracha, Torchbearers Garlic Reaper

  20. That's a great haul! What's your favorite thing about the Char Man Verde? I've been eyeballing it and I'm curious to hear your thoughts.

  21. Oooo where did you get that Louisiana brand Cajun heat sauce??

  22. You can order it on the Louisiana Hot Sauce website. I’ve never seen it in stores.

  23. I'm just glad you can hold hot sauce with it and it looks like you got some decent shit. What's your favorite so far?

  24. So most of the ones on these shelves I've never tried, so I can't say. But what I can say is the 3 I'm looking most forward to are Kranked by Hellfire, Reaper Garlic by Torchbearer Sauces, and Swampadelic by Primo Peppers.

  25. This is an example of when cheesy marketing can backfire. Hellfire is a very good sauce brand and the stuff is probably delicious, but I just cannot bring myself to buy or consume a product with Snot in the name. Pair that with the snot-string covered zombie picking its nose on the label, and they've completely lost me. It's too much and it's completely unappetizing.

  26. Hellfire is a great sauce company. And I agree with you. This is undoubtedly their most unappealing label only tied with its counterpart - zombie snot. It took me a minute to get past the labeling to try the sauce and it is absolutely delicious. However, had I known at the time that they make the exact same sauce in a much more palatable label and name I would've bought that bottle instead.

  27. Fair enough. They have the exact same sauce with a different label and less graphic name lol it's called Fire Roasted Red Reaper and Garlic sauce. It's sold out on their website currently but you can get it on Heat Hot sauce Shop

  28. They really do need to fix the font size on the label and the zoom function on their website hahaha

  29. From what I can tell, that sauce might literally be Bloody Snot with a different label, but I haven’t had both to compare myself. Haven’t tried anything from Primo yet but I’ve only heard good things.

  30. I think it is basically the same sauce. Because I couldn't read the labels and therefore the ingredients on the hellfire website I ended up buying 4 sauces that are essentially the same sauce. Hellfire Black Label which has the exact same ingredients as Bloody Snot except Bloody Snot has more garlic in it. I bought their Reaper Garlic hot sauce which is exactly the same as Bloody Snot just with a different label and now Next Day You Pay which is almost identical to Bloody Snot and the other two sauces 😂😂 good thing I really really love that sauce cause I'm set for awhile

  31. What frozen pizza is is that??? 🤤

  32. Honestly, fuck you and fuck this sub. I just spent over 80$ on their website xD

  33. Hahaha easy to do, I really had to restrain myself and if I hadn't just ordered a bunch of Hellfire sauces I would've bought a lot more 😂

  34. So I tend to be drawn to flavor forward sauces. I'm going to make some recommendations that are slightly less "mainstream". Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Marie Sharp sauces and Melinda's, but sometimes I crave a little more complexity. Hellfire sauces are amazing, most will probably be too hot for you at this point but they have a Gourmet Red sauce and gourmet green sauce that are fairly mild, and I think the gourmet red is amazing. They've also got a sauce called Infierno which is new and also fairly mild and delicious. Bravado Sauce Co. Has some amazing sauces and a lot of diversity in their flavor profiles. Some of their sauces will be too hot but they do have some options like the Serrano Basil, Jalapeno and Herbs, and Crimson sauce that should fit within your tolerance. Seed Ranch Flavor Co. Has some really amazing sauces, and a number of them fall into the mild to medium range. Small Axe Peppers has some amazing sauces, one of my all time favorite green sauces is their Green Market sauce. One of my favorite discoveries when I stepped into the chili world was that there were so many hot sauces that not only provided heat but amazingly complex flavors that could stand alone but also could elevate the dishes I was eating. There are sooooo many amazing hot sauces out there.

  35. Thanks for all of these recommendations! I’ll check them out later.

  36. You're welcome! Welcome to the rabbit hole that is hot sauces lol

  37. Torchbearer Garlic Reaper is an amazing sauce, and Queen Majesty Scotch Bonnet and ginger is also amazing. Those would be my top two on this list

  38. Most definitely. Some nights the same heat just kicks my ass. Some nights I can’t get enough. I have zero scientific reasoning for why this is the case, I’ve just always assumed it’s some combination of hydration (I find when I’m thirsty heat hits harder) and/or current level of existential angst (when I feel nothing hot sauce reminds me I’m alive).

  39. I'm glad to know I'm not alone in this experience. I thought I was going crazy lol

  40. Idk either, I absolutely love their sauces. Just did a post on my most recent order and I've got a couple more of their sauces coming in (including Kranked - I'm pumped about the black garlic). I think they make some amazing sauces but I think 1. They are well less known to a lot of people especially people new to hot sauce. 2. There are a lot of other sauces that are cheaper and more accessible. Those are my two guesses. But I just ordered off their website they had a couple of great sales. And like Torchbearer Garlic Reaper gets a ton of love on this sub and it's not a super cheap sauce (I'm not coming after Torchbearer Garlic Reaper it's an amazing sauce). I wished more people on this sub loved Hellfire sauces lol

  41. I want to try double doomed reboot but $30 for a 5oz bottle is wild

  42. You're a braver soul than I lol That sauce would absolutely destroy me. And I agree, it would be hard for me to justify spending $30 on one bottle.

  43. I just looked up your black label sauce, and it seems like it’s exactly the same as bloody snot. They also sold it as “fire roasted red reaper and garlic” which is the version I actually have. So far I’ve really enjoyed it on pizza, some braised beef, and mixed in to some hummus.

  44. Ooo I bet it would be good in hummus! Yes, I got the black label in their Best of Rojo collection (Infierno, Gourmet Red, Black Label, Pure Hell, First Blood). And then I got the Bloody Snot separate, I wasn't great at finding the ingredients on the website so I didn't realize it has exactly the same ingredients except garlic is the number one ingredient in Bloody Snot. Same heat level but you can definitely taste more garlic in Bloody Snot.

  45. I just ordered Swampadelic, and man do I wish I had also ordered Primo Army. Next order

  46. I use Swampadelic more because it has great flavor and I can put a bit of it on. When I want the pain I switch to primo army.

  47. That's good to know. I'm pumped for Swampadelic, Creole and Cajun spices are my favorite
