You could certainly cause insane damage to the enemy, but even against AI, that many arrows and melee coming in at once feels like your guns would get overwhelmed before they could do serious damage. It'd likely come down to his Naginata Samurai fighting to the death on the top level of the castle while the enemy routes.

With a castle that this upgraded you should keep your guns on the inner wall and have your inf below them. Dont even go toe to toe with their ranged, sacrifice the outer walks and force them in

I just try to avoid hype entirely. It’s for sure a game I am looking forward to and am quite sure I will enjoy, based on the demo alone,, though when it releases I am leaving this subreddit as one thing i’ve learned from all other releases of games I looked forward to is that the community is the worst part - every time.

I notice a different atmosphere here tbh. It being a solo dev (mostly), great communication with the community, and just how earnest he is make it hard to be a dick about the game’s progress

You had a manor building, if I remember correctly a watchtower, a gatehouse and a palisade you could build in the demo, and I’m assuming it’s all upgradeable or will be down the line.

If you allow castles then you need to build in siege mechanics which could be complicated. Putting a palisade and ditch around settlement to deter raids would be first defensive step.

Eh not necessarily. We already have a palisade added in. My guess is for the first while you’ll just sally out to fight them in the open.
