Raiden’s ending in MGS2 doesn’t work twice. If he wasn’t able to return to civilian life after the SoL incident, why would he be more equipped to do so after being turned into a war machine?
MGS2 was kinduva great ending because its open-endedness served as a sort of call to action, like, this conflict doesn’t end with Snake or Raiden. It ends with us becoming aware of the military industrial complex and getting in the fight to disempower it.
Wolfenstein’s Nazis make the real-life lebensraum policy look like clown college. Many entire countries in Wolfenstein’s world have been turned into industrial camps.

I was really in my new atheist phase through most of high school, but then I went to college, and met religious people who challenged the hypersimplistic way I thought about religion. My beliefs on theists kinda mellowed out at that point, when I realized that people like Kent Hovind did represent a lot of religious types, but that there are plenty of Christians who have more nuanced and not-so-literal reads on the Bible.
New atheists means they weren't raised as one. They went to church. They know what the real score is. They know the scripture. They had to go to Sunday school classes and memorize verses, and go up on stage and sing corny songs for a Christmas play, and go to youth groups and listen to Christian punk, and go to service every Sunday for 16+ years of their life and seeing first hand, up close, what it was all about. And what was all that about? What was it really? You felt some euphoria singing along to songs and though that was God's hand on you? People get the same feeling at Taylor Swift concerts.
The term New Atheist refers to a specific trend among atheists where we get super invested in the idea that all religious people are savage and dogmatic simpletons. It’s a specific anti-religious ideology that I used to believe in, until I met more rational worshippers who revealed to me that not all Christians take things so literally.
