Wereling

  1. I mean he was good, but I'm not sure he can get the credit Eisenhower should, if only because Eisenhower had to manage so many different egos and so many different national priorities to get done what he needed to. I will grant that Zhukov did have to manage maybe the most dangerous ego though.

  2. Ike wasn’t much of a general however. This would be like comparing George Washington to Napoleon— they served two completely different roles.

  3. I suppose that depends on what you believe the job of a general is. Tactics? Operations? Strategy? What combination of these truly makes a general great?

  4. Runs into field of Radscorpions after the Courier kindly decides to let you live

  5. Oddly I've usually spent time farming the scorpions for XP and poison to sell, so he's usually fine in my games.

  6. That if you kill Vulpes before going to Nipton (when he approaches you on the strip) you will see another Frumentarii at Nipton, and it’s not Alerio.

  7. Honestly it didn't even occur to me that Vulpes was supposed to be on the strip until like my 5th playthrough. He tells you that if you don't like what he's doing that you should do something about it. So I did.

  8. I mean, to a certain extent. Prussian militarism and it's cultural effects certainly had something to do with the military culture of a unified Germany.

  9. According to the wiki, it might have been taken by an enemy if you fought them in that area and left some alive. They are programmed to go looking for weapons. If thats the case, the weapon might be gone for you this playthrough.

  10. This is why I usually grab it before I do any of the story line quests. A green gecko won't pick it up on me and so I don't lose it. Plus taking Follows-Chalk to the ranger station nearby activates his perk.

  11. Going to guess that one is the Hostetler family in the last mission of the "someone to watch over me" quest

  12. The most infuriating thing in this entire game. Almost considered deleting my save and just avoiding the bunker all together in a new save. Not even max sneak skill made it any more bearable.

  13. Light Step perk makes Dead Money so much more tolerable.

  14. It's less necessary with perks like toughness and the NEMEAN armor. Also nearly useless against death claws.

  15. MF Hyperbreeder Alpha. Even at low level it puts out enough beam spam to make it hard for them to get close, and it often cripples wings even at medium distances.

  16. Boone. He's a genuinely tragic character by backstory, and he's incredibly good as a companion in the early game. He's also prone to shooting at things that are outside of their normal aggro range, and his quest is a genuine pain in the ass to get started. Plus he's a buzzkill.

  17. Almost essential for a Guns build in the early stages, and it can hold its own as a primary weapon until humans aren't the most dangerous enemy you're fighting. Even with a low much a high Sneak character can dominate with it, especially with hollow point ammo. Honestly I've had to build away from it because it makes nearly any run a stealthy sniper run..

  18. No doubt. Say what you want about Edwards, but I can't remember the last time I saw him interrupt the flow of the game because he needs to tell you where a third pairing defenseman played pond hockey as a child.

  19. I can't speak for OP, but sometimes acquiring power is my only concern 😤

  20. I regularly do this. By the time I show up on the strip I'm usually an unstoppable powerhouse

  21. Hell no. Harbaugh is a petulant Muppet who whined about the swinging gate play. I hope he loses forever. Say what you want about the Chiefs, but I will NEVER root for Baltimore.

  22. I started thinking of it as a Stupid Tax. Gotta be pretty dumb to keep on sending me what is effectively free stuff...

  23. Up there with telling a heavily armed weirdo that if he objects to you slaughtering a town that they should do something about it

  24. In that dlc, if you dump into science, there's a terminal to get into the armory with a riot shotgun and either a normal suit of riot gear or advanced riot gear. It's around the area where you get the red glare from.

  25. You don't even need the science. If you can deal with the marked men in the missile base headquarters the code to get in is in one of the desks in the left hand offices.

  26. You cannot say the gunplay is not bad because it definitely is. Has nothing to do with builds it just feels bad.

  27. I mean there's a D.C. Journal of Internal Medicine, a Sunset Sarsaparilla Star bottle cap, and a weapon repair kit here. You bet your sweet bippy I go there every time.

  28. I mean I forgot the two rolls of duct tape and the opthalmoscope too.

  29. You need to get Laser Commander perk. It increases laser damage and crit chance.

  30. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Laser Commander with s critical build is AMAZING.

  31. You can get a perfect 100% crit chance with pew pew, and a 97% crit chance with the aer-14. Combined with better criticals and just lucky I’m alive (more than doubling crit damage), you can one shot a deathclaw

  32. Honestly you can do it with a laser rifle as well with the beam splitter upgrade and focus optics. It has become my go-to energy sniper setup, as follow up shots are MUCH easier than with a Gauss Rifle

  33. Maxing out luck and killing everyone with a BB gun.

  34. Currently doing this with a build I'm calling "I'll shoot your eye out!"

  35. Honestly I don't feel like you need Jury Rigging unless you're trying to wear an armor that can't be repaired normally, like the Bounty Hunter Duster. Otherwise repair is just a matter of having enough caps

  36. Mmmh I guess u have a good point. Ill just fight him when he comes in the hoover dam battle. May I ask you another questinon? Do you know where to retrieve your weapon in ceaser camp after u've fought them all?

  37. Iirc there are weapons lockers near the entrance to the fort. One of the guards near the entrance should have the key.

  38. I'm voting for Boone as he is one of the best snipers in the game.

  39. Occasionally to an annoying degree! I've stopped taking him to do Three Card Bounty because he keeps headshotting the Fiend leaders.

  40. I never took Boone to Three Card Bounty, as soon as Delphi says he doesn't want mangled messes, told old mate to get back to Novac

  41. I mean I just usually leave him (and Ed-e) back at Vault 3 until I come back.
