  1. Does anybody hate it? I thought it was either you thought it was worth the price or it was too expensive and overrated. But Ive never heard a bad review. I still have a 12w6 and 12w7. both blown and needing recones and they are just sitting here.

  2. The guy is this video actually mesured the RMS output of a popular android-based head unit and it was clipping at about 15 watts per channel! 7 to 20 watts is typical for most head units. Even for fancy expensive flagship models because the money goes toward a better DAC and a higher pre-amp output voltage to feed your aftermarket amps. Typically 5 volts or more. Your average 4-channel aftermarket amp is in the 50 - 100-watt range. It’s better to have more clean power and a lower-wattage speakers (with properly set gains) than a dirty low-power amp with High-wattage capeible speakers. Distortion is what causes blown speakers.

  3. Bigger speakers bigger AND a bigger TV and find somewhere besides a closet to set it up!

  4. Also, why is it so damn bright? is this a party or a surgery?

  5. I never even watch the movies; the rest of the family do. I just LOVE tweaking and Building speaker boxes.

  6. Muchas Gracias? Really? I would honesty rather eat at taco bell and shit all night.

  7. Ditch the fence and ad a sliding stop block and tale measure. Then you get 75% of your bench back. That's what I did when I set up my shop 7 years ago and I can't think of 1 time I needed extra vertical support further down the bench.

  8. I demand you un-post this right now! this TV is NOT too high!

  9. Amazing. And your 3d modeling is as good as your fabrication skills. I have to ask, did you make the clamp models just for this rendering?

  10. I didn't even know there were ads on Reddit! I've been using old.redit.com since the switch.

  11. Do they check every return? I thought it was only looked at if audited.

  12. "Rub on your titties. Yeah, I said it. Rub on yer titties!"

  13. Has anyone's TV ever NOT been too high after posting this question?

  14. I was at a theater once for a big release. I forget which movie, probably one of the Star Wars films or something of that importance and caliber. So I was sitting here watching with my family, my mother and brother, and I could tell something was wrong with the sound. There was nothing coming out of the side or rear speakers. So during a slow part of the movie I walked out to the desk and complained and they said that they were aware of the issue and that something was wrong with the Dolby audio track and that it had reverted to the stereo track. They offered me free tickets to come back another time, and I took them up on it. I ended up staying and watching the rest of the film because the fam didn't even notice. I just sat there with a scowl my face for the rest of the flic.

  15. I can hear the song in my head. What a perfect soundtrack.

  16. That's the way I always did it as well. Just a thin slit in front of the back bolts. No big gaps or crazy designs. Clean. Nice Job.

  17. I once spent a full day typing in a BASIC program from a book into an Atari 400 only to have my friends dad come in and turn it off. He didn't have a tape drive :( But the Dig dug cartridge was arcade perfect (in my memory anyway)
