  1. I think aside from Havoc launchers on tanks they're the only indirect the army has, so they definitely have a use there.

  2. Chaos Space Marine Havoc Launchers are not indirect fire.

  3. Ah, I'm thinking of the havoc launcher in previous editions, and not the man portable or Knight ones, I mean the ones mounted on rhinos and predators

  4. Why don't we just completely nuke Meridian? Super Earth must have the means, right?

  5. I mean we already fire thousands of nukes during your average planetary offensive/defensive mission. We need more than just nukes to kill a planet.

  6. RIP my 20 man shooty blobs with dark commune support 😢

  7. Mood. I have 80 friggin cultists with mixed weaponry, and another 30 models for chaos guard. I should be able to adjust it enough to just run them all as chaos guard but I'm not thrilled about it.

  8. I guess so, but at that point, why not play them with Astra Militarum rules? Just having access to orders and Chimeras to drive them around would be miles better and more fun to play than this.

  9. Because I want to play Traitor guard, not Imperial guard. My Army is Renegades and Heretics, I used to be able to drown the board with bodies before this edition. Cultist Disciples and marauders with chaos ogryn backed up by bloodletters, chaos spawn, and havocs tearing into my enemies while Predators and Russ's took point as armor while stalk tanks assisted possessed assaults.

  10. Spare blood is my chaos guard medic. Painted up white in her unit with her rifle, job is mainly to keep other units on the board.

  11. They seem to forget that it take several months in 40k to travel the entire galaxy, meanwhile in Star wars it take at most a few days

  12. Depends. We talking Disney lore or Old EU.

  13. but they never used the targeting systems on their smart bombs we sold them. They literally are spending for weapons that cab specifically target shit and then just choosing to indiscriminately bomb instead. Fucking moron

  14. Have we been watching the same war? Israel has been using JDAMS as their primary way to deliver bombs. Every controversy about this war has been about their use of these munitions. FFS the aid convoy that was hit by them was using precision ones. What the heck are you on about?

  15. You can’t throw a dumb bomb smart, but you sure as hell can throw a smart bomb dumb

  16. A JDAM is literally a kit that converts a dumb bomb to a smart bomb. The whole point is that they "throw" a dumb bomb with guidance. To "throw one dumb" with a JDAM you'd need to spend the time and money to get the kit, fix it up to the bomb, link it to the plane, and then decide "Nah, i don't want to hit what I'm aiming at." And drop it randomly. Which has not been happening.

  17. i think the jump pack needs a 50% reduction in cooldown if it wants to be used more by anyone.

  18. I'm so torn on that. On one hand I desperately want it to work like HD1 where you could jump the moment after you touch down and just bunny hop to your heart's content. Except that jetpack had fuel in it so you couldn't actually spam it forever, but it lasted a damn long time.

  19. Mood. Also like, 90% of the weapons in this game are viable, some are just easier to use than others. I've literally run solo helldives with the crossbow. It was a blitz against bugs to be fair, but I've yet to find a gun in this game that is truly useless now that they've fixed the Lib Pen

  20. While I am highly skeptical of this claim, I could also see Putin doing this strategically. If Putin loses Ukraine or pulls out of Ukraine because they were defeated by Ukrainians, it looks really bad. But, if he attacks a NATO country and Russia gets beaten back to Russian borders, he can say they lost to the combination of those bullying NATO nations.

  21. Yeah except he's not going to get a "well, they pushed us back to the border. Good attempt everyone, we'll call it done here."

  22. I don't think much. Bees actually percieve time!! They discovered this by feeding a hive at a set time every day for a year. Then they flew the hive from Paris to NYC. The bees became active thinking it was feeding time. However is was in the middle of the night, due to timezone difference. Thus proving bees percieve time.

  23. That's amazing, they managed to give bees jetlag.

  24. I'd be curious which kits you're thinking of. The last few I've gotten from them where royal pains to make look nice, and the cursed city box I did last year was an exercise in patience when it came to fixing all the mold lines and filling gaps. And that was after I removed the gods awful push fit pins they insisted on which are but even up to the standard Gundam had 15 years ago.

  25. Well off the top of my head I was blown away with how clearly the Tamiya 1:35 scale Goliath tracked mine set went together, the infantry on that fit so clearly that I almost didn't need glue. Sadly the recent gun pla that I've put together were old kits a friend was getting rid of so I don't know their exact names and kit numbers, but I did make a bandai 86 mech from 2021 that needed zero glue with no mold lines or seams (I glued most of it anyways so that I couldn't accidently break it apart) and actually had articulate legs and cockpit with pilot.

  26. I was most interested in the cultist detachment, getting a bonus to their movement isn't exactly what I would have asked for but it sounds like it could be pretty strong in the right hands. Can't wait to see what the rest of the strats and enhancements look like.

  27. I'm hoping their strats do more to help. I've run melee heavy cultist/renegades & heretics lists in the past. You can definitely kill stuff with their melee, you will roll enough pacts to beat someone to death. But you need to be able to reach them. Lots of bodies can only do so much with a T3 6+ sav stat line.

  28. Yeah like 90% of the people I've met in this hobby IRL are chill and fun to relax with.

  29. Yeah near total agreement. My only argument is just that warthunder actually needs to be down-voted in general for a pile of other problems with that game. I'm cold turkey on it for over a year now after a couple relapses and dumping far too much time into it. Game has serious underlying problems and does honestly deserve a mixed to negative rating. Their sale tantrum is just embarrassing after all the other abuse they let slide. Doubly so since the tantrum is just going to get them into worse places even if they do get what they want.

  30. Let’s hope it doesn’t turn into a Robin Williams skit

  31. They also just broke a major taboo with the use of chemical weapons. Which Britain listed as their "red line" and I doubt it'll amount to anything.

  32. Chaos space marines players after seeing what the dark angels / custodes / admech codex did to their faction :

  33. I'm incredibly worried about that oncoming coin flip. With 8 detachments one of them should be usable. But considering I love running cultist heavy armies styled against chaos guard every since Renegades and Heretics got squatted I'm not liking my chances of having good rules. At the very least I can manage if they don't adjust the dark pacts rules.

  34. Well I think they said they're putting in an all cultist detachment, so you're at least getting something to have fun with, whether it's good competitively or not.

  35. Yeah I'm really hoping it's fun to run and doesn't rely on battle shock. That's about it. I'll take mediocre but every time I see an army's gimmick be battle shock based I just feel sorry for them. My army of cultists, traitor guard, and beastmen are definitely really to hit the board again.

  36. They need longer scythes so that they don't need to hunch like that. That looks painful and exhausting. Like preferably they need something like a mower or a tractor if this is being used for animal feed so that they don't need to spend hours doing this every day but at the very least get them a longer scythe.

  37. Ever hear of the Moriori? They lived on the Chatham Islands and were strict pacifists.

  38. Being Pacifist to the point where you're unwilling to fight back even to defend others who need your help or even yourself isn't pacifism, it's being helpless.

  39. Japan is far more relaxed about hot springs than America, as far as I know.

  40. relaxed about nudity for same sex hot springs. coed are very rare and last time I was in japan the only time my wife and I weren't directed to separate baths were when we got a private onsen.

  41. Almost like every single other online game out there. Need Uplay for Siege, need Bnet for OW/Diablo, need EA Play for Apex, need Windows for fucking Minecraft lol.

  42. Minecraft is actually a great example of exactly this kind of fuckery. I can't play the game anymore because I bought the game in alpha. I played it for years, put it down because college and other game got my attention, microsoft bought the game in the meantime, and years later I come back with my account logins not working. I open a ticket request, they say they can't help me and that I'll need to give them banking details to prove the account is mine since the email was misspelled on the system. Details that are not kept long enough to be relevant six years later. So now, instead of being able to just play the game I own, I've not been able to for years and been told that I'll just need to buy it new. Admittedly I had to get a microsoft account for my programming classes in school, but did so under a fake name because I don't want my personal info going out there. I ended up with another when I got an xbox years later.

  43. Microsoft and mojang were sending you emails for literal years telling you to migrate.

  44. I see you missed the "registered to a misspelled email" part of that mess. Pretty hard to receive an email when it fails to send to the Yahoo, com domain I signed up with. And yes, I asked if they could just correct that and send recovery to that. It was a no.
