  1. I think the one miscalculation Hannibal ever made in his life now in his 40s is he would’ve never found anyone or anything with such profound importance to him than Mischa. An entity so simple and innocent yet complex and impactful. You see that he’s a monster, but he’s also capable of grief and regret in very narrow capacities. Always trying to find a way to reverse and go back in time. Trying to find a way to redo the mistakes he made in rash and impulsive moves when he had clouded judgment tainted in his heartbreak.

  2. I also don’t think Will lives up to Mischa and that it’s impossible to do so. I think he’s like a crush, fleeting romance and Hannibal finds it more interesting to follow that path than have Will die. There were moments when it wasn’t in his best interest to keep Will alive— but then Will teamed up with him and I think that was as far as things go for them. Hannibal succeeded in showing Will his path to who he was.

  3. Welcome to the sub, take a look around. Random shit is posted here all the time.

  4. Yeah— but I agree with Franky Frank Franklin that it’s probably not random.

  5. Agree. My heart goes out to anyone born in a patriarchal religious police state in the Middle East, especially women and gays.

  6. My heart goes out to anyone oppressed by a corrupt bigoted society. Pain is pain. Ignorance is ignorance. We should all work to hold a high standard for law and treat each individual with respect, regardless of their location/sex/gender.

  7. Totally agree. I really liked the article I read once about him and his jujitsu training. He wants to lose and lose and lose because he wants to be that person who ISN'T having a panic attack when the stakes come into play and it actually really matters if you lose. He wants to be that guy who has a smirk on his face while down because that's just another position he knows you can still win from.

  8. I think that’s a good mindset. I’ve competed in tournaments where when I was losing bad I’d have to envision my path to victory. Even if it was say 2% I’d change my strategy and play under the assumption that the 2% was going to happen— abandon whatever strategy didn’t align with that plan. Never give up unless it makes sense to— and don’t stop competing.

  9. Yeah, not getting in your own head over an impending loss is important. I noticed that other people would often not try as hard and make mistakes— they might know their out, but not really believe in it. Whereas when it was low probability I was still giving maximum effort. I lose nothing by doing so, and might even learn more about my opponent for the future. Likewise— I could give false tells to my opponent so they would learn the wrong things about me.

  10. He’d pray the suns rays away

  11. The power of prayer validated. Credit goes to whoever prays the hardest.

  12. They usually dont show autopsy results to suspects in murder cases. I bet he was their top suspect. Doing an ama too... this is all sorts of odd. Makes me think he did it.

  13. Good work detective. Just next time make sure you plant the evidence instead of making it up.

  14. Guy appears to be an egotistical idiot. That’s enough to keep you out of the hall of fame apparently. Baseball writers are hacks— if he’s bad they’re worse. Completely incompetent in their job, which you can’t say about Curt Schilling.

  15. I don't think the dude here did anything wrong or worthy of a lawsuit. The only law he broke was "don't stick your dick in crazy" but he took the necessary precautions.

  16. I mean— if he used a toxic chemical to kill the sperm she’s still at fault. You’re not allowed to kill your own sperm and throw away chemicals wrapped in plastic? Dude needs a biohazard trash? What next? Girls are gunna be suing him because they got needle pricked bobbing for used condoms in the biohazard bin because the sharp warning wasn’t in Spanish?

  17. According to the GOP, that should be murder and prosecutable by law.

  18. Having children with the wrong person and while you are not financially stable.

  19. Gender doesn't matter when it comes to dealing with "drama" with a co-parent and financial struggles.

  20. Sorry, I should have been more specific. "If you didn't birth the child from your vagina/c-section, or donate the egg, but did contribute the sperm." I never meant for gender to be involved in the discussion.

  21. You know a guy was good when you really had no complaints all night, maybe a couple borderline calls, but given the velocity and movement with which these pitchers possess these days, this is an A+ performance. I would never want to be an ump, you get all the blame but no credit, usually. If you do your job right nobody notices you. Which, of course, means your doing your job.

  22. I would love to be an ump. I think the responsibility to call a good game would be rewarding. I also don’t mind what people think of me so they can throw rotten vegetables for all I care.

  23. I don't mind boos and insults, but I've heard of death threats, and with gambling so prevalent in all sports now,it's only a matter of time before some degenerate with an gambling addiction finds the home address of an ump who made a bad call who cost him money threatening his wife ,kids, his life, etc. We're already seeing this in basketball to some extent, Bernie Bickerstaff Jr,Cavs coach, said last week he's had gamblers leave death threats against him for not covering the spread, taking the starters out, etc. It's an absolute embarrassment that all these major sports have sold there integrity for even more money. You would hope that they'd be above that, because everyone knows this won't end well. It's a matter of time before someone who lost everything gambling takes it out on the target of his ire. And when that day comes I'll put the blame squarely on the pro leagues that let this happen.

  24. Pretty sure NBA refs make at least 6-8 million once you account for gambling profits. I’m obviously joking, kinda, but I agree in terms of gambling being bad. It’s way too easy to affect the game. Sometimes the threats will happen right before the game just to throw off a star player mentally. I heard about that happening in the NFL.

  25. The idea that men are stronger because they hunted and women are weaker because they gathered is utter nonsense. Sexual dimorphism like this in nature is almost always because men want harems or in general access to more women, and the men have to physically dominate the other males to get the women.

  26. We’re discussing how men became biologically stronger pre homosapien? I’m confused.

  27. Sure. So regarding the original topic— do you think a cultural of standard of judging men based on strength and women on appearance is appropriate?

  28. Some are highly sexually active and you never know for sure who your partner has been with

  29. Are you a robot? And Alzheimer’s patients should remember to brush their teeth. You should let them know over the internet.

  30. You can have STDs without having sex as well. It isn't hard to get one of these tests. I have no idea why this causes you so much distress to think about

  31. What causes distress is that people in general, not just you, are so stubborn in their shit takes and unwilling to accept reality that it makes me think of how dumb and ignorant the general population is— and how hard it is to talk sense to people.

  32. What a strange injury - in the replay it doesn't look like he even lands awkwardly. Poor Trevor, man

  33. He landed on his shoulder with a fully extended arm. Your shoulder is vulnerable in that situation, it most likely came out of the socket and dislocated which is super painful.

  34. They reportedly didn't allow the developers to mention that the main character was Bi, up until early reviews came in and praised the way they handled the bi character, after that they changed their minds. The original IGN report that this is coming from also mentions that multiple developers that they talked to said Square Enix was very hands on with the script and "hostile towards a lot of the diverse themes and ideas".

  35. It was all from that IGN writers lens though. It was pretty obvious she had an agenda. Everything was written to demonize that individual without getting their side of things.

  36. Twitter has become an even bigger advertising/spam tool then Facebook. Quickly opted not to take part in Instagram which was a shithole from the start. Tiktok is too personally invasive and really more of an app only.

  37. Reddit is horrible. I denounced racism against all people and got flagged for hate speech by a Reddit admin. Legit— stated that all racism was bad and gave examples of bad racism. Because that included people with light skin apparently I’m hateful. Site is structured by hateful, self-righteous, hypocritical, small-minded bigots.

  38. Don’t sweat it too much. My advice is to wait a little bit and then say something like:

  39. So who’s a worse predator— a cougar or a silver fox?

  40. Idk how anyone could have read that as anything but sarcasm. Crazy WOOSH on that other guy lmfao

  41. You’re half right— while it may have been sarcasm I think that there are large group of people who either: grab their pitchforks, or, disregard allegations depending on if they like the person.

  42. No, they were fully right. That was obvious sarcasm and you missed it.

  43. I’m explaining that I was rambling on in a tangent because of a general mindset. I don’t care if this person was sarcastic or not. If their actual sarcasm aligns with what I’m saying and I extrapolated on their point who gives a shit?

  44. yeah I need to be more snarky as well with comments about my skin and treat it with jokes or a nice comeback but since I‘m so embarrassed in that moment still I don’t know If I could 😅 I really want to be able to respond differently to those. Any requests on how to shut down certain comments/ treat certain situations?

  45. Sure— so it’s probably going to sting in that first moment. Especially if it’s in front of a group of people. That’s expected. Having the spotlight put on you when you’re vulnerable about something sucks. At first maybe don’t worry too much about putting out confidence. Even if you’re indifferent and just affirm what they’re saying.

  46. I wish more people would be like you … as a girl who cannot tan naturally and has very pale skin (nordic type) I get so many hurtful comments during the summer both from friends (that don’t realize they’re hurtful comments) as well as from random strangers which lead to me feeling very insecure in my own skin. Especially when wearing a bikini/ underwear in front of others. The last 2 summers I tried fake tanning mousse and it honestly didn’t look horrible but I was always scared that it would start looking blotchy.. and I had to re- do it every day because it would look terrible the 2nd day already which honestly killed so much valuable time and was always connected to a lot of psychological stress.. so this year I really want to just embrace my pale skin again and try to feel comfortable about this and try to see myself as attractive again

  47. Pale skin is very attractive. People are self conscious and want validation for their mindset. Don’t worry about status quo. The people who are important won’t be worried about how tan you are. Only plus with a natural tan is you don’t burn as easy.

  48. Biden is inhibiting my free speech! I say repeatedly with no negative consequences.

  49. That’s cause you’re a nobody. Make something of yourself, and in order to say what you see with your eyes, and then your brain your only platform will be an opposing side— which won’t let you say bad things about their side.

  50. You want specific names? I didn’t conduct an investigation and you can’t pay enough for me to extract it from him.

  51. According to the A's broadcast, Pivetta finished one inning short of the all-time consecutive scoreless innings pitched at the colosseum with 25. The record is 26.

  52. Not sure why you were downvoted, assuming you’re right. He’s been good regardless.

  53. What you talking about? The Red Sox are only the 12th highest payroll. If we don’t complain constantly we’ll never get our way. We’re all activists that can make a difference we just need to work together. /s

  54. I had a Reddit administrator find me guilty of hate speech— for denouncing racism. Legitimately, I spoke out against all racism and somehow power bigot decided that was hate speech because apparently that included a group this admin bigot hated.

  55. The backlash is him lying about being exclusive. He could have been honest to all of em but instead made it seemed he was exclusive. Only caught when one of the chicks got an STD lol

  56. So you’re saying that one chick was a slut huh— contaminated all them other innocent ladies. Shame.

  57. tell her the truth. in person preferably. but if not send her a message just being like “we got on so well over text and then we met in person alone and idk, i just don’t feel like we clicked the way we did before. i thought that the sex would change my mind but, while it was amazing, it didn’t rekindle my feelings for u. ur a gorgeous girl and i wish u the best but we just don’t connect in person the way we do online so i hope to still be friends when u see my sister but the romance is not there”. simple enough

  58. You started with “Tell her the truth,” and then proceeded to lie just like the person you were responding to did—- just even more extreme lying haha.

  59. literally didn’t lie at all? everything i said was the truth from the post and his comments. i just worded it a lot nicer than he did. yall think wording things better means lying

  60. Okay, I won’t get caught up on the word “lie,” but you said the sex was amazing— whereas he said the experience was “ick after ick.” He specifically stated he didn’t want to go into details.
