  1. Cora mentioned they've known it was a fracture basically since he had to leave Saturday's game so I imagine they were doing all those tests over the past couple days and it's why they waited to announce anything until today. Cora also pretty definitively said they expect him back this season so if they still had those kinds of questions I don't think he would've said that.

  2. another day, another destiny, this neverending road to calvary

  3. If he's there he'll probably just be in a suite and get shown on the video board between innings. The giveaway is only for fans who bought specific tickets so I'm not expecting the Sox to make a big deal of it.

  4. My sources (half assed google search), are telling me it could be a 4-6 week recovery. I don’t think that’s accounting for being a professional baseball player though.

  5. I'd actually be ok with this. All the panic has my mind going to post-All Star Break.

  6. They have him controlled until 2028. He’ll get his 40 HR season next year and prove it then

  7. We even have other sauce options now!

  8. Do it!!! The team might be decently healthy by then and Boston has so much to do besides just seeing Fenway/the Red Sox. Duck tours, swan boats, getting something to eat before finding a spot to sit on the greenway. I really don't think you'll regret visiting Boston for the first time.

  9. I live 3 states away from my family and I could say literally all of the same stuff.

  10. It's definitely not an everyday kind of restaurant but Woods Hill Pier 4 did well with my family's plethora of allergies and they note which menu items contain different categories of allergens.

  11. Yes for sure but the fact they offer to transfer first even, I don’t get it.

  12. They either would send you fake tickets/a phishing link or say they were having trouble sending the tickets and ultimately you'd end up paying before you actually had legit tickets.

  13. It's standard for players with mixed cases in the middle of their names. You can see it on Jacob deGrom's jersey in the gif here!

  14. I feel like this is a legit question at this point. The rate in which guys are getting hurt this year is insane. And then you look back at the last couple of years and how guys get hurt and it takes them forever to return. I know freak injuries will always happen, but this is beyond that. I feel like the team really needs to evaluate their conditioning/training and rehab policies.

  15. It's weird because this is all happening while players like Liam Hendriks (and there's one other pitcher whose name isn't coming to mind at this moment, sorry!) literally say they signed here because of the medical and rehab staff.

  16. Wild how everyone here criticizing reform Judaism is using electronics on Shabbat. Almost as if criticizing and nitpicking how others practice Judaism is a no-win game.

  17. I think it's mostly that not only do the parents barely care about the children still home, they've barely given rules to the boys.

  18. I grew up only waiting an hour to have dairy after meat and with basically no wait to have meat after dairy. The second rule came directly from a sermon my (conservative) rabbi gave during a random shabbat service.

  19. Except last year he’s been pretty consistent. I’d say he’s improving on an already high potential he had

  20. Based on the fact that the plan for the city connects is all Saturday games I'm pretty sure they'll still be wearing the black jerseys on Fridays but they just haven't done it yet.

  21. This explanation could've been articulated better but there's also the fact that the Mets origins are born out of teams from Manhattan and Brooklyn. The Mets represent more than just Queens.

  22. People aren't going to realize what Cora does well until the next guy is here making mistakes.

  23. Whoever pays $48 for that should have to buy me season tickets. They clearly have money to burn.

  24. So Devers can’t field and won’t take accountability as a team leader? Perhaps we invested in the wrong franchise cornerstone?

  25. Not every veteran player is going to explicitly be a clubhouse leader and that's ok. There's a reason players like Justin Turner are so valuable even once they've aged out of playing everyday.

  26. Trevor Story was doing a damn good job in the veteran leader role until he got hurt. And otherwise the organization seemed committed to getting Masa out of the outfield and Casas doesn't need a platoon partner anymore so JT wouldn't have been in nearly the same role as last year.

  27. I'm going to avoid obvious hametz (cookies, bread, pasta, etc) but I'm not switching dishes or condiments or stuff like that.
