I'm a huge Sorokin supporter/defender and even I think this is a poor decision. Varly played pretty great despite the loss, especially considering the 40 shots he faced. Although it is important to note that Varly definitley got the Sorokin treatment last game, played great but faced 40-50 shots so of course we lost.
Give the canes something else to prepare for; if we lose to back to Varly but if the shutout king steals one for us ride the hot hand and give Varly a bit of rest to stay sharp for when our backs are against the wall
He made a comeback as a guard for the colts in Manning early seasons and he played ok. Not nearly as good as his draft hype but he was a league average guard.

Yeah that was a pretty weird MVP year though. Seemed like moreso voter fatigue than anything. Rose definitely didnt have the best stats and was 5th out of the finalists in WS/48. I think there were so many great players that voters just defaulted to the best player on the best team.
It was more the fact that he carried them to the 1 seed and every other player on the Bulls spent some part of the season hurt. Rose carried them regardless of the lineup around him. Coupled with the hate Lebron got for moving to Miami and it was pretty easy to vote for Rose or someone else
