Absolutely blinding tour, with an amazing set list. Personally I am completely down for tours like this because it means people can go for albums they like (like these two) and miss out ones they don’t (like SSTB).
Did you do the check pattern with transfers and the stripes with masking+airbrush? Those are some beautifully straight lines but must have been fun trying to get them around the trim!
Thank you! The transfers were from Microscale and are I think 1/16”. They come in a A5 sort of size sheet and you cut them to fit (which takes a while!).

Yep, especially in small games the Delagatus you need to unlock the RoW becomes a challenge to put somewhere. That’s why you need one of the choices of non Destroyers based units for them to go in. My top choices are a recon squad (with a nemesis bolter), normal tac squad in a rhino, or Cenobium in a Land Raider…
At 3K I had 10 in a Land Raider, 10 on foot, and 15 with Rann and an apothecary in a Spartan. I’ve run them in Rhinos before, but they always seem to blow up to quickly. Also remember you can always choose to take the re-roll invun instead of a normal armour save, as it’s statistically better to do so…
Vaxis 1 & 2 are in my opinion the most accessible albums, with some great music and lyrics. Don’t worry about the story to start with, just find songs you like the sound of. I know some people think the story and order are super important, but I disagree and as a long time fan still don’t really care about it. I like them for music which sounds good rather than some highly convoluted and overly complicated story (which can put people off, but is a bonus if you like it). But that’s just my opinion, and I also think Colour before the sun is a great album and also really easy to get into (and that people don’t like it because it’s not linked to the story).

You guessed right! Transfers for the checks which makes them so much easier, and then masking tape for stripes.
