  1. Here's a great video where you can see a ball go from over under to something more controllable.

  2. Are all the performances hiccups sorted out? I remember lots of complaints about terrible performance when it first came out.

  3. I haven't seen any drops yet but I'm still in the first area. I heard the big open area was the one that used to cause problems. I'll have to play a bit more to see. Performance mode seems to be pretty good so far.

  4. I couldn't stand the back tracking platformy stuff in the first one, this one a little better than all that?

  5. I can't comment on back tracking yet but the platforming and climbing is still there. It seems a bit faster and smoother than the first game. I think it's because you start with that traversal speed skill from the first game. The first chapter holds your hand nicely and you feel pretty good from the start.

  6. Some of the Matt Smith episodes are ok. I didn't like him at first but warmed up a bit. Capaldi was great but his run was ruined by Clara. Unfortunately, Clara is in a lot of both Doctors' episodes.

  7. Is it broken? It feels buttery smooth

  8. Imagine how much better it would have done if they had a 60 or even 40 fps mode... and it was stable.

  9. Imagine playing games in the 80’s and 90’s like I did. You’d be lost 😂

  10. Why would I be lost? Most SNES games ran at 60 fps. I've been gaming since the 70s with Atari 2600.

  11. If you just came from playing Elden Ring, you'll find the areas a little tight. 3rd person camera in a small area meant I was banging my attacks off walls and sometimes getting into a bad position. I didn't have that problem most of the time in ER.

  12. I believe I seen they were supposed to reduce enemy's or something like that to help with that issue.

  13. I couldn't tell if that was only for a new game+ or if you had to beat the game already. It's hard to tell based on the video.

  14. When connected to a 120Hz display, Quality mode will target 40 FPS.

  15. It's pretty similar to Sam & Max Hit the Road but not as funny. You walk around on a small screen and initiate dialog and activate things. That's about it.

  16. Interesting. I don't think it's similar Sam & Max at all. Is your second sentence meant to be a specific comparison between them, or a generalization of Harold Halibut?

  17. General comparison... side view, walking, story telling, click on stuff, not really a puzzle game etc..

  18. Would people rec mend any modifiers for a first playthrough or go vanilla?

  19. I found it hard and annoying so I'm going to try to make it as easy as possible. This is coming from someone who beat Elden Ring 3 times.

  20. Control, Cyberpunk, Monster Hunter World, Immortals Fenyx Rising

  21. I honestly can't tell the difference between 30fps and 120fps. I've done back to back comparisons on a really nice TV and actually preferred the lower frame rate because ypu usually have to choose between frame rate or resolution.

  22. Tbh I thought I couldn't because I always watched those side by side comparison videos on my phone and never saw a difference. But when games have the option to change modes and that change happens quickly, I can definitely see a difference

  23. Doubt it. Bethesda famously only released 30 FPS games in its entire history, with one exception: Skyrim's 2021 re-release. Only took them 10 years.

  24. Plenty of good stuff between now and then. Jedi Survivor on GP, Diablo 4 season 4, Elden Ring DLC

  25. It now has a 40fps quality mode and it’s now officially the best looking game so far this generation.

  26. Disagree. It was my GOTY 2023. I still don’t understand the hate, and frankly I’m getting sick of people saying it’s not good as if it’s an objective fact.

  27. Tons of reasons. Load screens, only 30 fps, bad looking npcs, boring dialog, most quests can be replaced with a subspace communicator.

  28. Load screens go by so fast I don’t even have time to read the tips, 30 FPS is only on console and even then it’s a non-issue, the only NPCs that actually look terrible are the generic ones in New Atlantis that mill about; companions, vendors and quest givers look great and “boring dialogue” is so vague it’s not even worth addressing.

  29. Fast load screens aren't none. It breaks the immersion. 30 is a big issue and we're on series x. No 60 or even 40 fps option these days is a joke. As for dialog, this says it all.

  30. I liked it the first time but I can't play it again. I tried a few times but the bad outweighs the good.

  31. Hard to tell but I'd start with my feet together with one board between them. This is a good way to find your starting position. Counting boards will play a big role as you get more advanced.

  32. Thanks for the feedback. I wish I would have gone with fingertip grip, but the pro shop recommended traditional for my first ball.

  33. I also vote for ESO. It's still good. I haven't played in a while myself but they've been adding a bunch of stuff.

  34. I'm of the opinion that MS should just give fallout to obsidian.... but I don't want to take away from obsidians other projects.. but I love the low int playthroughs on New Vegas and Outer Worlds, going back to interplay

  35. Well, here's hoping TOW2 and Avowed blow us away because Starfield has me worried about ES6. Bethesda needs to up their game bigtime.

  36. I feel like people focused on the wrong thing with starfield, and to be totally fair that's Todd Howard's fault, but good God damn were the faction missions some extremely well written and fun missions to play through. I didn't finish the story gotnpretty close to the end... but the faction missions totally scratched the itch and I played on gamepass. Starfield isn't great by any means... but when it does shine? It shines bright. Totally highlights it's short comings tho. Barren planets might be realistic... but it's a fucking video game... it's literally fantasy, where's the freaky aliens at?

  37. No 60 fps is the first nail in the coffin. I'm sure the series x could handle 40 with some reduced resolution or other small sacrifices.

  38. Just bought it on the spring sale. Going to see if I can get a refund then. Honestly the game was so frustrating in the first hour I stopped playing.

  39. I had the same problem experience, there just ended up being too many complex platform sections where it really wasn’t even remotely clear where to go. I don’t mind hard but it starts to feel very pointless

  40. The video game nerd in me loves this but the bowler in me hates this.

  41. War of the Monsters for PS2 and Titanfall 2. People vs people with monster drops. Building destruction etc...
