If it was a crazy old furnace with a standing pilot and someone fuckin with the wires, I'm guessing they jumped out the high temp limit or multiple things were messed with in order for this to happen. Possibly jumped the wires at the t-stat or the t-stat itself failed and stuck. red to white which calls for heat with safty limits bypassed at the furnace.
There's a lot of information missing here. Most, if not all, gas furnaces have high temp limit switches that kills power to the system whenever it reaches internal temp of like 150. Either their furnace was like a 1930s furnace that wasnt built to have one, someone had manually bypassed the HTLS, the gas valve could've been shorted or malfunctioned and didn't close after the system reached temp and kept burning, or the thermostat wires were shorted together with no 3 amp fuse in place to catch it.

It's a short read and an even shorter to listen to on YouTube. It's written with the context of rulers in the 15h century but the lessons taught can and are still applied to any system of hierarchies in today's society.

If I’m ever unsure of a craft, 99% of the time it would have been attempted before. Go on cs float and search the skin, with the stickers to see what it looks like. You can then copy the inspect link into inspect servers to see it in game

You should look into stoicism and how to find comfort in being alone. It sounds like such a foreign concept considering humans are inheritantly social creatures but I think there is a sense of beauty in being comfortable being alone. It's almost unavoidable throughout a person's life that they find themselves alone for any given length of time so it makes sense to try and find solace in it.

Maybe the gas valve had gotten some debris in it and couldn't close after the system was satisfied. That's why natural gas could be smelt after.
