  1. road rules has not won a flagship season since 2010 and a woman hasn’t won a 3rd championship since 2011

  2. Well at least we got the MATCHUP, even though it wasn’t the result we wanted. It should put up for a great show.

  3. LA Knight should be in the finals. For the love of God give this man a proper push.

  4. They need to scrap going to Corpus Christi and Green Bay all together. Usually the worst tv crowds most years!

  5. Cody finished his story. Did people really feel like there would be any more meat on the bone after? His promo’s since mania have not been good and have been very dull. He’s also clearly a for the kids character now.

  6. No, but it pissed off the obsessive anti-Bill/Celtics folks on here so I’m rolling with it.

  7. No one is anti Simmons. Celtics? Yes. Simmons? No. It’s all in good fun. Just harmless ball busting. The pod (and this sub) is more entertaining when the Celtics lose. That’s all anyone really cares about. Uncle bill is just fun to mess with.

  8. This is coming from a person that gave recent glowing reviews on reddit to Drive Away Dolls and The Land of Bad (5 stars!) and positive reviews for Madame Webb.

  9. Update: I HATED the new planet of the apes movie. Of the most dull movies I’ve seen in a long time! So there. There’s a movie I didn’t like which I admit is rare.

  10. Going to a movie alone is the best! Wait until you have an entire theatre to yourself

  11. The best is the whole theater alone but the worst to me is when it is only you and one other person! Especially a late night showing. I get a little creeped out.

  12. I got a new job and with my new work schedule I’m forced to only go on Friday nights and Saturdays! I hate it! All the unruly and obnoxiously loud people with no theater etiquette go on those days! 😭😭

  13. I never walk out on movies, but I wanted to walk out of Terrifier 2 lol.

  14. Do people really like Emily Blunt as much as studios assume? I am too lazy to wiki her box office. Oppenheimer is an ensemble so I am not talking about that.

  15. Girl on the train, looper and into the woods were all hits. Both quiet places were mega hits and the marketing for that was mostly about her in a horror movie. She’s also a great co star in other movies that did fairly well at the box office.

  16. Eh, action rom-coms don't appeal to me. And they certainly don't appeal to the GA with the price cinema tickets are at nowadays. That's just how it is. Let this be a lesson to the film industry.

  17. GOOD Action rom coms (which the fall guy absolutely is) is the best of both worlds. You got something for the men and women. It’s the perfect blend and the fall guy threaded the needle. The quality of this movie and the ones of quite a few the past couple of months aren’t the problem. The General Audience just doesn’t go to the movies nearly as much as before Covid.

  18. You realise the mix of both genres is equally a turn-off for both genders?

  19. The audience reviews for this movie say otherwise. Yah it didn’t do as well as it should opening weekend but the folks who actually saw it loved it. Perfect date night movie.

  20. Not even remotely close to the same thing. Her big time hits were clearly built and marketed around her. Those movies you are referencing are all about the franchise and brand not about the actors in them.

  21. No because the problem isn't Gosling but the concept. people don't find movies about making movies interesting and this had too big a budget for such low demand. A star can only do that much on OW, the rest is down to WOM and while people who saw this liked it, there aren't many fence-sitters to be swayed. Most decided they simply aren't interested.

  22. Reviews including audience reviews is fine. 30 million OW for a blockbuster action rom com is about what to expect.

  23. Unless you’re buying the premium seats in the first ten rows or so do not bother with ground seats. You won’t see shit and there’s always some asshole who just has to stand up in front of you the entire time. Buy towards the front of the first elevated section so you can see over the ground floor people.

  24. This is the absolute best advice you are going to get on this subject op. Well said.

  25. Her Mary Poppins reboot failed horribly.

  26. Failed horribly? I mean it wasn’t successful as folks thought but 350 million on a 130 million dollar budget isn’t terrible.

  27. Are people ever going to accept that COVID has had a permanent change on the movie industry? Streaming is so much bigger than it was pre-COVID and anything that doesn’t have a sense of event urgency is written off as “I’ll wait for streaming”

  28. Thank you!! I completely agree fam. Why can’t a lot of folks just accept that Covid forever altered a lot of the general audience habits. They got out of the buisness of going to the movies.

  29. Is Barbie Gosling’s Apex Mountain? Feel like he’s at the peak of his powers coming off that movie and the Oscars performance.

  30. In terms of popularity? Absolutely. But he’s had better performances and been in better movies.

  31. Really surprised they are doing If with their Reynolds hate. Krasinski hasn't made a bad film in my opinion and my kids want to see it so hopefully it's good.

  32. They hate Ryan Reynolds’s!? Idk why but I get so personally offended by some of their takes/opinions that it causes me to start/stop making the pod a part of my regular rotation! I am so sensitive I guess! 😂😂

  33. Idk you just know they are gonna enrage all of us younger Millennials with some terrible School of Rock takes. National Treasure all over again.

  34. I haven't seen him in much other than Top Gun Maverick but yeah dude has a lot of charisma.

  35. Let’s see I’ve seen him in a somewhat starring or supporting role in Everybody Wants Some, Hidden Figures, Set it up, Top Gun Maverick, Devotion and Anyone But You and love his performance in all of them! He just oozes charisma and fun humor.

  36. I’m a simple man. I see Glenn Powell in a movie and it’s an automatic watch for me! He hasn’t let me down yet for all the movies I’ve seen him in!

  37. Fair enough. I admit-tingly am def in the target demo for this kind of movie. I’m just a backwoods, dirt road, country boy red neck so this movie was right in my wheelhouse! 😂😂

  38. Emily Blunt and Gosling had some of the best chemistry between leads I’ve seen in quite some time. This movie was so freaking fun. Hysterically funny too. I love David Leitsch movies. Always a great time.

  39. You can say the same about Challengers. We saw this with Barbie. DCEU, MCU, etc.

  40. Box office is totally different today than at any point in history. GA is more picky than ever at going to the movies. A lot of seriously good films this past 2 months didn’t do great at the box office.
