  1. I’m a millennial but I’d wager it’s because Gen z knows it’s an indoctrination mill

  2. Reinfection with Covid. Tbh I am not sure how emotional trauma would lead to the development of FND?

  3. Was reading an article about COVID vaccine causing relapse. I’ve heard any serious virus, vaccine, surgery, car accident, divorce, assault…basically any major stressor to the body is a potential trigger for the onset of FND.

  4. EMDR did not lessen my symptoms but I did EMDR on multiple traumatic events. None of the trauma therapy I did seemed to make any difference for my FND, but again I wasn’t in trauma therapy for FND.

  5. Don’t marry him. That last question you asked?? I asked myself that at the last hour, too. I told myself not to be negative and to hope for the best. Turns out we should listen to our intuition!

  6. Hrm maybe because the restrictive type is more common and if a person only eats nuts and berries they will weigh less than if a person only eats fries and nuggets.

  7. “Too loud” is a cultural concept, in my opinion. Americans are known for traveling to France and standing out because we’re too loud. Jokes are made that people from China or Vietnam sound like they’re arguing when they’re just having a conversation about what to have for dinner.

  8. How about being offered a Kleenex but they just mean a tissue and not a Kleenex branded tissue? Sometimes brand names become so big they become ubiquitous with the product. Growing up my mom called every game system i played a Nintendo cause to her it was all the same

  9. They crawl on me. My fruit. My clean dishes. My house is infested.

  10. See, don't do this. Don't overshare. The less they know the less ammunition they have. Giving them information is like handing them a weapon. They will use it to shame and control your reactions.

  11. I kept a style in for 5 or 6 weeks and some locs fused. In fairness I was told to take it out after 2 weeks.

  12. No, you weren’t a little bit justified. Why are you even trying to justify what you did? Immature.

  13. Yes I have severe muscle atrophy. My calves are totally deflated and have stretch marks. Everything’s deflated. Anyway, during a remission I was able to build back muscle, it just takes time. I’m way worse off now, but now I know it can come back. It can come back!!

  14. Serious conversation - I don’t understand why it’s seen as a lost battle. No one asks to be born (though some people have beliefs that they did which is totally fine). Living, dying. It’s an individual choice. What battle is there?

  15. Well honestly I’m pretty sure I took a shower with my mom at that age. I know I changed around my step mom at that age (and a bit older!) so I’m not sure. It seems really weird to me that your kids never even saw you in your underwear. I saw both parents nude for a while (though I only ever took showers w/mom).

  16. I disagree. This is about in general. I’m in a wheelchair. My ability to clean now is super limited. OP was obviously talking in general and it seems you’re taking it personally. Obv if someone is disabled or otherwise has something making cleaning not possible than this doesn’t apply.

  17. I honestly think a lot of this has to do with one partner being treated like a maid, not just unequal division of labor.

  18. ….what?? I’ve heard of married people having separate accounts, but not keeping your assets a secret. That seems both bizarre and impractical. Wouldn’t you both need to collaborate for planning retirement? What about emergencies? How do you get married and say those vows and then act like a simple question like that is out of bounds?

  19. Doesn’t seem weird to me. Seems like exactly the type of stuff I write about to work through trauma. There’s so many lightbulb moments when you realize how things connect. Could be notes from in therapy or something similar or just solo reflection. I have notebooks full of this stuff.

  20. Same. Experienced all kinds of abuse including extreme physical abuse but the emotional neglect is what has crippled me. It’s had such a profound effect.
