  1. My advice for now would be to enjoy high school and don’t fall into the trap of overemphasizing what college you go to. As someone who once thought the way you do about college/ attaining success, you quickly learn that where you go to school (and even what you major in) matters far, far less than you might think.

  2. Minox is has a 24 hr half life, the twice per day recommendation on the packaging is just so you go through it faster. The returns are very diminishing (if there is an extra return at all) for using it 2x per day.

  3. This seams weird. Like too orchestrated, supposed terrorist cause a ruckas, stirs up Israel and so they “ retaliate”.. just gonna wipe out Palestinian civilians.

  4. If this were a false flag op by Isreal (which you seem to be suggesting), Hamas and its supporters would’ve publicly disavowed it by now. The opposite has happened — they’ve celebrated the attack and made demands.

  5. This may be due to your sugar level surging and making you feel sleepy or lethargic…be sure to eat carbos and protein to help. Sometimes too much protein makes me sleepy.

  6. I did a test that showed I have diabetes but it’s just the Vyvanse, it makes your glucose spike

  7. The IDF is mostly composed of 18-21 year olds rushed into service. Many of them are from wealthy families in the US and other western countries in Israel on a sort of service trip. No surprise they’re getting outgunned by career terrorists and religious zealots.

  8. For the capital one bonus, do pushes work the same as DD? Thought it would have to be legit DDs

  9. I have zero idea what people are talking about here. Bought a small box the other day largely due to the rave reviews I saw on this sub and they simply do not work. You wake up hungover as usual. Not even a slight difference.

  10. I assume you are single? That puts you in a 22% bracket unless you expect your income (in real terms) to rise significantly it is likely your taxes in retirement will be lower which favors pre-tax. Age actually has nothing to do with it beyond very young people tend to have lower paying jobs especially if they are part time or pre-career student jobs.

  11. I could definitely end up making less real income as I age. If I get promoted at my current firm, however, I’ll probably be pulling in considerably more income later in life. So that is a consideration of mine.

  12. Biased how? What Roth advantage are they ignoring?

  13. Uncertainty of future tax rates, and which tax brackets may be applicable to you in retirement generally.

  14. some biglaw firms have government relations practices (akin Gump, Squire Patton Boggs). My understanding is a JD isn’t required for these positions, but joining a DC office with those practice areas can be a way to get your foot in the door of an otherwise more connections-based industry.

  15. People discount law school for politics/policy work but;

  16. UnP1 says:

That makes sense. My impression was that a lot of the value comes from just signaling. I’m wondering how different this signaling is for HYS vs T14 vs going to law school in general.

  17. It's definitely a difference in degree much more so than it is a difference in kind, but that said, I think it can be a pretty big difference in degree.

  18. Are there any major downsides to checking account churning?

  19. In SF, it's better to have a shitty apartment in a good area than to have a good apartment in a shitty area.

  20. It was pine street actually. Liked the location because I could walk downhill to work but felt palpably less "neighborhood-y" than the other places I visited.

  21. Oh Pine St. is actually great. I lived there for a while on Pine & Mason and there are lots of amazing restaurants and bars down a block on Bush.

  22. Well if that were the case, that would be the shortest suspension ever considering the doc was published at 12 pm PST today. Naomi is not campaigning today and Carl is...

  23. Huh. Why is Carl still campaigning then? Why would you even bother giving someone a 2-hour suspension? Why go through the trouble of writing a massive report on what someone sorta did wrong?

  24. A few years ago, the president of Cal Poly SLO sent out an email announcing the introduction of online classes due to COVID. My friend, drunk, responded "fuck you man" and sent the email.
