I used to work in the lab at mosaic, testing the toxicity of the waste which was a byproduct of the phosphates etc that they produced to make sure it was within the required limits set by the government. It's insane how loosely these standards are set and also how terribly they're being enforced. The toxic waste, is fucking toxic waste! And all of that they're taking up to that (weakly constructed) lead lined hill (right by the water) and letting all of that shit destroy our air/ land/ water quality. Quit after a month. They are killing us and I can't be a part of an organization that I don't support. I wonder ever if someone in power will bring these issues to the political table. Even if nothing changed, it would at least be an eye opener to a lot of people about what they're doing and what they're subjecting us to, knowledge is power.
