tcthinking

  1. You could always make online friends and go from there. Many options. (Not always the best, but where there’s a will, there’s a way)

  2. That's true, always worth a try, thank you.

  3. Same! Just expressing solidarity 💜

  4. They talk about cheating on their partner in a bragging way like its something that makes them cooler.

  5. My ex genuinely seemed surprised that people disliked him for cheating on me... I remember when I first discovered his infidelity, some mutual friends who knew about the cheating had been distant with him since they'd found out, and he genuinely didn't realise his cheating was the reason for the distance. Madness.

  6. This advice saved my sanity…get yourself something to look forward to each night. Write a schedule. Mine is like this; Sunday I play factorio…my favorite and only video game. Monday my sister comes over and we cook something new (sis asked me to teach her to cook) Tuesday I host a craft night Wednesday my daughter has therapy, so I get an hour to read in actual silence Thursday I have a “phone date” with my bestie who works out of town. You get the idea… Something pleasant to look forward to each day.

  7. This is a great idea thanks. I don't usually like schedules but I think it will definitely help me if I can have something lovely to look forward to each day, at least in the short term anyway. Off to do some planning now!

  8. Give yourself time. I'm (42m) now at 6 months out on my own with 50/50 co parenting. You'll be shattered being a servant to the kids. But, you'll hopefully start to relax and find time to plan for your future,, to perhaps get an interest or two. I've gathered loads of my interests together and am making myself myself. My boy (8) is starting to share that experience. Young kids are difficult and you will bend over and go out of your way for them and feel resentful for your situation. Hopefully, time will heal and you'll enjoy your life and see the positives.

  9. Thanks for this, yeah young kids are all consuming, and I still have a few months before I return to work so my life is 100% focused on them at the moment. I'm hopeful I'll find my own identity again in time. Great to hear you're finding yourself again too!

  10. Gosh I forgot I even wrote that! Yes, so as far as I'm aware he hadn't done anything since the time I was pregnant until now. It was his last chance and he blew it. I really thought he'd changed 😔

  11. I gave him a second chance just once. ONCE! I dont think I was stupid for giving him a second chance on one occasion. I agree it would be daft to give him another chance after this. I'm simply asking for advice on how to cope with a split family.

  12. Something about being pregnant seems to make people think your public property🙄. I don't have people judging my age, but I went to the liquor store to pick up wine for a dinner party (I wasn't going to drink any, but I'm the host sooo) and the looks and comments were something else. And all the comments from strangers about how "big" I am.

  13. I used to hate the 'big' comments when I was pregnant- I should have got 'are you sure there isn't two in there?!' and 'you're going to have a big baby' written on some t-shirts!

  14. Congratulations! You are already an amazing father- I can tell by the gushy post and all of the raw emotions and anxieties that pour out of it. Enjoy this wonderful adventure!

  15. Pistachio nuts when the damn things just WILL NOT OPEN!

  16. I went out in public for the first time with my baby, just the two of us, when she was about 3 weeks old to go to a postnatal clinic.

  17. Those flinger things you use to throw dog balls. Doggos deserve the best, I'd like to give them the best

  18. I agree with the sentiments but is the flinger thing really the best ever invention for doggos?

  19. Candles - is there a better way to relax than lighting a candle? The delightful smell of the wax reaching your nostrils, the flickering light of the candle shining off the walls in a dark room, the sound of the flame burning. Bliss.

  20. My garden, attic, bathroom, kitchen, basically any room unless there's a warm hue light on
