  1. water damage continues to give me chills every time

  2. this is one individual song but senses fail- my fear of an unlived life is your post to a T. album as a whole though is criminally underrated

  3. have you killed lady butterfly and corrupted monk yet? both are fights that will increase your attack power which is immensely helpful to have here- lady butterfly really isn’t a crazy hard fight and while i personally found corrupted monk hard as hell, most people seem to disagree but i also feel like the fight prepared me for genichiro quite a bit and i really didn’t have a hard time with genichiro. both of these fights are accessible at your point in the game, and entirely possible as well.

  4. to put it in perspective, i have about 5-6 paneras i go to at least semi monthly and only one actually has the cups out, all the others put the cups behind the counter also citing theft issues. after a couple times you’ll figure out where to go and it won’t be as bad, i’d still rather have a free drink with a semi awkward interaction than a $2.49 drink also with a semi awkward interaction. even despite the slight inconvenience, i’d argue it’s still worth it tbh

  5. Once Ashina is on fire, start at the sculptor's idol right behind the watchtowers then work your way up to Shigekkichi of the Red Guard is. You can take pretty much all of them out with backstabs, it's fast and very high XP.

  6. seconding, on NG+2 i was getting like 8.5k every 40 second run

  7. i will agree with OP on the isshin fights at least. when i did my two NG+ playthroughs, it took me longer to do the isshin fights than it did to get there from the start of the game. i had maybe 10-20 deaths from the starts of the game until the final bosses, there were certainly some bosses such as genichiro and shinobi where i definitely noticed a difference, but if you beat the game initially then you shouldn’t have a hard time. the isshin fights though, holy hell. those fights are an absolute shitshow on NG+. on my NG2 playthrough i had to go farm attack levels because even though i was like ~37 att i felt like i was barely making a dent. it does help to have either an akos sugar shop stock from anayama, or kill the one headless that drops the ako blessing.

  8. skyrim- so i beat the main quest line but kept playing the game. i wanted to get married but my game kept glitching resulting in me basically getting left at the altar time after time. afterwards, i wouldn’t have the option to marry them anymore. i got weirdly bent about it to the point that i just kinda stopped playing the game

  9. Kyle Sullivan from Nickelodeon’s All That was the reason i got into throwing like 20 years ago, through this exact promo:

  10. if you want, there’s a cheese that allows you to basically skip the fight entirely. the jump is a tad difficult but it took me maybe twenty minutes, got it first try in a subsequent playthrough-

  11. zelda botw. there’s games that simply aren’t for me, but botw is just… not that good?

  12. have you played the other runescape game (aka runescape 3)? modern graphics, much more user friendly, extremely good quality of life. only downside is that i feel like old school/classic has a much better sense of community, but runescape 3 is better in just about every other way. less time spent grinding, more time spent actually doing stuff

  13. as someone who’s played souls games and is currently playing sekiro, i’d hesitate (lol) to play sekiro unless you’ve already played a souls game or two. while the combat in sekiro is certainly different than other From games, it’s equally challenging to From games, arguably even more so. on this sub everyone is gonna tell you the game is easier than other souls games, but the general consensus is that sekiro is the hardest From game, usually by far. i’ve played elden ring, DS3, DS1 and lies of p (fantastic soulslike) and sekiro has been the hardest by a long shot (currently on ng+). if you’ve already played a From game and kinda know what for expect, go for it but if you haven’t, i’d start with a more forgiving entry like elden ring or DS3. sekiro is a fantastic game once you understand it a bit but even at its core it’s an extremely, extremely difficult and unforgiving game.

  14. not necessarily co-op unless you count taking turns but power wash simulator is the only video game besides animal grossing that my fiance has ever been able to get into, but she LOVES it

  15. not sure how specifically applicable this is but rocket league was continuing to pick up steam from its launch in 2015 up through 2020 when epic games bought it. the game experienced a brief surge because epic made it free to play but unfortunately they have done almost literally nothing else with the game since buying it. it’s been experiencing a slow decline in pretty much every aspect since. sucks because it’s such an amazing game but epic cares way more about fortnite.

  16. both the ori games float your boat but some of those achievements are borderline impossible, you may be up for the challenge though. someone said hollow knight, seconding as well

  17. Silverstein is still alive and kicking not so sure on newer post hardcore

  18. eh, their new stuff is entirely different from their old stuff. i understand bands grow and evolve but i feel like TIHTWS was the last album that felt natural and that was like five albums ago. hate that i have to go “at least they still play their old stuff” lol but at least armor for sleep, underoath and senses fail (less their new album) are still putting out bops

  19. Hard disagree. Underoaths departure from old under oath and senses fail arguably too is so different compared to Silverstein’s new stuff compared to their old stuff. Silversrein definitely tried some new stuff but they have quite a few songs passed wind shifts that feel like their old stuff. I was actually thinking some of the newer hits could easily be on discovering waterfront or even the two after it.

  20. for UO, erase me kinda fell flat but their newer album was one of my favorite albums of that year and i feel like it was a great balance. i’ll always have a soft spot for silverstein because they’re amazing dudes but i feel like they’ve strayed far from their original sound, however i’m hopeful because even despite the direction i really enjoyed their new album

  21. Yep, I did it all. Not terrible once you get the hang of it. Took me 78 hours to plat it.

  22. what are the multiplayer achievements like now? played that game a bunch when it came out but never got around to the platinum because i struggled hardcore in multiplayer lol. everyone was doing laps around me

  23. Lies of P- soulslike, general gameplay is kinda like elden ring but the game is much more linear like dark souls 3. highly recommend

  24. definitely take to the vet. my cat was barely eating for a couple weeks despite acting normal, he had an ear infection but that infection was unfortunately part of a much more serious infection that he wasn’t able to make it out of and passed away last week. hoping that whatever is wrong is minor and is caught early

  25. the only hope you have of him playing anything modern is stardew valley or something that appears nostalgic like cupheads. i'm not a fan how they mixed the blaster master zero games with anime but the first one is pretty good. the sequels added too much with the advanced movesets in the dungeons. you might be better off just buying an nes, sega genesis, or snes classic and play 2 player games together. start playing and offer him the second controller. that would be my recommendation.

  26. for the love of god do NOT have him play cuphead

  27. literally, powerwash simulator. it’s such a chill game and it’s virtually completely stress free.

  28. truthfully you could just watch a season or two and be totally fine. as long as you understand the basic dynamic of 70s you’ll have no problem being up to speed for 90s, it doesn’t have a whole lot of overlap. highly recommend 90s btw, for such an amazing original cast (well minus danny but), i was very surprised how easily i was able to get into the new cast

  29. fantastic album, band slapped up through identity on fire. but after witnessing all the drama of that band throughout the years i have no desire to listen to or see jag’s version of the band ever again.

  30. i feel you. i read someone say “when the amount of joy you get from winning is minuscule compared to the anger/negativity you feel when losing, it’s time to move on” pertaining to RL and it was really what i needed for me to realize i haven’t had a healthy relationship with this game in quite awhile and like, don’t get me wrong i love this game but i also like to feel relevant and i feel like this game is fading fast. i was extremely optimistic about rocket racing but truly, it’s okay at best and i really don’t see it bringing many new players to RL. i mean, it’s literally a fortnite mini game but it’s unfortunate that it feels like it too. it’s really sad watching a game that’s given me ~1k hours of memories just kinda fade into nothing.
