  1. Any chance you'd be willing to share the PDFs?

  2. I'm moving so this way she gets to chill in the yard while everything slowly disappears into boxes and all her favorite spots get reorganized. She's been loving it out there

  3. Yes, I spoke with someone earlier and will be speaking with a therapist. I think I am a naturally anxious person and this has made it come out ten fold. I think it's hard to tell by the pictures the degree of the sloping and just how much there is in the house. I can't walk without feeling like I'm walking on a new level everytime. And certain areas the floor seems to bubble up. Just does not feel right at all and has me petrified.

  4. You sound like my little sister and I'm going to send you the same advice (that she hates me for LOL) - take a deep breath. Definitely talk to a therapist. It sounds like you are facing both issues with the house and some mental health challenges.

  5. I used to work phone reservations and summer is the busiest time because people wait to move until the kids are out of school. Also, only certain equipment is one-way, the rest is assigned to specific stores and has to be returned there. If they were to stock enough equipment to never run out in the summer, most of it would sit idle the rest of the year, and wouldn't be cost effective. I know it's too late, but the farther ahead you can reserve, the more likely you'll get what you want. There's a small chance someone will return a one-way trailer to someplace near you, but I think you're out of luck. I spent a lot of time telling disappointed people this all summer long.

  6. I can't really argue... but I'm grumpy about it. I do think that incentives should be put in place so that 'luxury' housing in condo towers isn't the only kind of housing built up.

  7. I don't argue with the fixings. But can it be made financially worthwhile to build more 3-4 bedroom condos then? Or low rise versus high rise? Is that just no longer an option?

  8. I'm not homophobic, but I don't know what to do.

  9. The left has completely lost their minds. You can’t reason with them. They’ll simultaneously defend drag shows for children while also claiming the right is getting too extreme. All you can do is enjoy their tantrums when they lose.

  10. Hey! I think the same thing about the right! Glad we are agreed 🤣

  11. What makes this specific drag show plan hateful or confrontational?

  12. You are getting plenty of advice already but I'll throw out some thoughts -

  13. I don't agree with the arms comment. If you try on additional dresses you'll know very fast if you made a choice you like or not. If you have a trusted friend, maybe show off to them? Family can be a little more judgey than a good friend :)

  14. I do anesthesia. I help people get through surgeries alive. I am the definition of life support. I alleviate pain and suffering, whether acute surgical pain or chronic pain. I get to see babies delivered during csections, the miracle of life on a daily basis. I get to see hearts stopped during a surgery, then restarted, it’s like bringing someone back to life. I get to see a brain opened up and the patient still talk to you. I get to see organs being taken out and swapped back in during transplants. I work with new born babies all the way through end of life care in the icu. So birth, life, death, happiness, sorrow, disease, and healing, you get it all. What’s not to like?

  15. All I can think is Dr Glauckenfleckens videos of his anesthesia character hiding behind the surgical curtain with a sudoku book lol. This is a much more cool view of the profession.

  16. Hi! Is it possible to combine a referral from a friend link with a personalized email offer for united explorer card?

  17. Here’s something that nobody ever asks: Why not try to negotiate more PTO instead? That’s approximately $1400 for each week you negotiate.

  18. All large firms I've ever asked have said no and that it's standard across all employees so they can't change it. They've all preferred to offer a higher salary instead. Not my preference but I always just end up taking a month or two off between jobs. But maybe that's because I am still junior.

  19. Reset the default cell types to mirror what you typically set as input/output cells. Setting up templates in general save a lot of time too.

  20. Custom toolbar through settings? Or something more complicated? Been thinking of writing a VBA code for that but that seems like a very easy solution.

  21. Oh no that is not good! If you PM me I may be able to help, this seems like it’s your dream dress

  22. Sooo I ended up going back to buy it. I had it wrong and it was t David's bridal. Perfect sub-$200 dress

  23. May not be helpful, but I know this bridal shop well. Did you try this dress on a while ago and are assuming it’s gone? If so, call and they may still have it. If you tried on recently and it’s too pricey, you may be able to ask if they are flexible with the price. My gut says that a second-hand David’s Bridal dress, especially like this without lots of fabric or crazy embellishments, should fit in your budget!

  24. It does and I'm considering going back but it's a 5 hour round trip so I may wait for a few weeks by which time it may be gone 😞

  25. How scary! I'm glad you woke up in time to rescue the bun. You could try calling an emergency vet, telling them what happened, and asking if they think it's something that should be looked at now or if it can wait until your regular vet office is open again.

  26. I have never been more scared. Why does the worst always happen outside of normal vet office hours?

  27. You won’t have to get up and get your chew if you’re sitting on it lol

  28. She did pick one up soon after! I'm so happy to see her chewing on anything after having had a broken jaw back in November. (My fault 😭). She still is only able to use 1/2 of jaw so it'll require tooth grinding down the other side every few months.

  29. What kind of bun is she? She's gorgeous! Looks just like one of my girls and no idea what her breed is.

  30. I've heard dwarf and broken dutch? But she's a rescue and I honestly never looked too far into it <3

  31. There was a recent thread about high yield checking accounts. Do any of them work well? Particularly the Primus 4.77% account that was mentioned?

  32. United Federal Credit Union works well. 5% up to 10k currently.

  33. United Federal Credit Union works. (And they'll give you 5% interest on checking up to 10k.)

  34. I did switch. Twice. I got differently bad managers.

  35. I feel you. I'm switching soon and hoping for better at a smaller company. But the missing middle is killing us who are just starting out.

  36. Totally agree that native support would be great. Have you tried the

  37. Oh sweet. This is a good one to know. I've been managing a cad and USD budget separately as I prepare to move home but it would be nice to have it all in one in the future.

  38. IMO the condo/townhouse as a starter home with the intention to move up on 5 years is a dead idea in today's market. Mostly, this is a misconception created by 40 years of falling interest rates which lifted all property values. If prices stay flat for 5 years, you've only amortized enough to cover your selling commissions. I think buyers in today's market should be considering potential forever homes, which insulates them from whatever may happen in the housing market over the next few years.

  39. That sounds perfect to me. I haven't lost money and I've locked a rent where no one can kick me out in hopefully a place I like. As an investment, not great. As stability, great. If you would have to wait 2-3 years anyway to buy something else, what does that change in your opinion?

  40. We are looking at Clayton, Garner and Angier if looking Southeast, and Youngsville or Rolesville if looking Northeast. So prices are much lower than Raleigh proper and far more inventory. You sound like you have the exact same plan as us. Others have said it’s unrealistic to expect to move within 5-10 years but I don’t feel like it’s that uncommon? I’m even more confused now.

  41. My parents always advised 5 years as minimum. They've moved a LOT but bought a house where possible.

  42. No one said anything about throwing back anger, I said "defend oneself," and it's an extremely important distinction, especially in cases like this. In addition, a person could also change an outcome by defending themselves, by telling the racist to put themselves in the victim's shoes. It's two sides of the same coin; I just wish there was more compassion for the victim in this case so that they wouldn't have to deal with unprovoked racism in the first place, because after all, we both agree that showing compassion is a solution, because you never know what someone is going through.

  43. My sense is that the victim in this case was able to have the strength to respond in a good way and that the aggressor backed off really fast. So in this instance, we aren't even seeing them as a victim. Possibly because they aren't fitting in with a stereotype of a victim? It's an interesting point in our interpretation of a situation only from text.

  44. I think it takes very solid boundaries to work.
