  1. Your hands are too close to your body at address. If you setup the let go with your bottom hand and just let it hang, it should line up with your club. I am guessing it is going to be a couple of inches closer to the ball than the shaft. Move away from the ball until your hand lines up with the club. You also could turn your lead shoulder a little more under your chin on the way back, ie a steeper shoulder turn.

  2. I think this is the biggest culprit. Freeze frames and look at location of the hands at address vs. at impact. Your natural swing shows the hands closer to the ball at impact which results in the shank

  3. Idk why everyone in the comments are being dicks. Even if there is some embellishment, it’s still a great story

  4. This story is definitely plausible from a golfer. Because if you do the math, the hypotenuse of that triangle is only 308 yards. He hit a guy and still felt the need to juice the stats of his drive 20+ yards

  5. The more swing thoughts I have, the worse my swing is. After I set up to the ball I’m now down to one swing thought, and I’m hitting more consistently than ever. Practice until all those adjustments feel natural, then just drown out the noise and be an athlete.

  6. Orchids can be finicky but they are resilient. I have four, and at some point have pissed them all off to the point they dropped all buds and looked dead. Keep them in high drainage orchid mix, water when needed, and throw in fertilizer every month or so, and they will come back.

  7. Also, repot with a little more space. Those roots are climbing

  8. From a boomer. They don't like to sacrifice their life for material goods. That is not necessarily a bad thing now, but later in life they may regret not having any money.

  9. As a millennial, salient point. Look at nature. Why do squirrels work so hard to collect nuts? For the hard winter ahead

  10. Millennial here. I think they are less aggressive and more accepting than previous generations. I also find them to be a bit more “weaker” (for the lack of a better word) than previous generations too.

  11. I think every generation would say the next is weaker, on the whole. Technological advancement makes life easier. That and the lack of world wars for 80 years

  12. Compton native here. Watts is DEFINITELY the city you want to avoid. That and all of South Central.

  13. idk man, indian food is nice, korean barbeque is nice, chinese food is lovely, I can't discriminate when it comes to food

  14. Lol saw the billboard on the way home from the airport the other day and thought about it. Probably an experience

  15. I mean I know college kids are still relatively young and accommodating, but if this is real and not a troll, any grown adult would refuse this as an acceptable meal. You stop, look whoever served you in the eye, and demand more. It’s not hard. I do think this is a troll though

  16. Going to be the one to read your situation fully without giving a black and white answer: cut the tag off so there’s little amount of something catching, then take the risk and do the short commute. Don’t go longer, replace it asap.

  17. You avoid that situation completely by not making physical contact with a drowning person, you grab the life ring or something that floats and throw it to them. "Reach or throw, do not go"

  18. This works in certain situations, but as a lifeguard, sometimes your job requires contact with the drowning person. You’re trained to make contact from the back and, in most cases, a drowning person should realize they’re being helped. However, if they continue to thrash and pose a risk to you drowning, you actually do kick/push them away and try to use any other implement you have. Better one down than two.

  19. It was either the company man telling me, “you have beautiful blue eyes, I’d like to see them looking up at me while you suck my cock” or diluting raw hydrochloric acid in a chemical suit on top of a metal tank in 110 degree weather. Texas oilfields can be tough, man

  20. 16 years old pushing 200k oil leaks ratty interior rusted rocker. I’m not an expert but seems like it’s too much money.

  21. Easier to just offer less money for it citing those issues. Get that truck for 5, slap a new seat in and some rust stopper on the rocker and couple frame spots, then clean it? Nice truck for under 6. Looked like a lil engine though
