  6. Got my PhD, became an assistant professor at an R1 research university, published peer reviewed research, but now ready to move home and be with my family in my hometown. I did the thing. I achieved my goals. I peeked behind the iron curtain. Now, I’m ready for the next (hopefully Much more chill) chapter, but I’m proud I did it.

  11. I’m moving back to my hometown to be 4 minutes from my dad. He is this kind of dad, and I know without a doubt I am making the right choice.

  12. Paying more attention to what everyone else in the room thinks of him than what the girl he’s with thinks of him.

  13. Achieved my dream job. Moving back to my home town in a few weeks bc it took me achieving the dream job and high salary to realize to me being near my loved ones is more important and more fulfilling. I’ll find another job. What you can’t get back is time with your loved ones, especially parents.

  14. I loved the little clues throughout, surprising revelations about the past, and the future-seeing aspects. It made it so fun to catch things as you go along.

  16. I get it. I am an assistant professor, and I day dream about doing a job that doesn’t require so much research these days.
