  1. Yes! The callouses stay on your fingers! I find them useful sometimes because I can pick up hot plates without being bothered, but they do get in the way sometimes. I like to use a nail file on occasion to reduce some of the thickness

  2. Oh I'll try using a nail file that's a good idea. Though, especially my second finger callus, it literally has a slight mark that is deeper than the surrounding callus from pressing the string, so when pressing any note on the second finger it automatically slides into place. But things is, the mark isn't even in the middle of my fingertip and I want to adjust that I just don't know how. Anyway, thank you for the tip!

  3. There are three reasonable fingerings: 012, 022, 023. It is possible to play 22 without an audible glissando. A half-step slide on one finger happens very frequently.

  4. It's only a slide, I don't need to shift my thumb with it in any of the fingerings, correct?

  5. If you did the 22 or 23 options, you would keep your thumb fixed. If you did 12, you might want to move your thumb a little bit to minimize tension.

  6. How did you find this video of me

  7. I put about 3-4 little swipes at the tip, 4 full bows and 3-4 again at the frog. You don't need a ton.

  8. How often? Do you do that each time you play?

  9. While training is usually part of perfect pitch (it’s much more common in musicians than nonmusicians), not everyone can learn it.

  10. you don’t want to. Suppose you are really successful at it - now you’re locked into (probably) A=440, equally tempered. What happens if you are playing at baroque pitch, if the oboe is sharp, if you’re playing with an organ (eg organ concerto) which isn’t A=440 and is mean tone anyway? and so on. What you want is a strong sense of relative pitch and a really acute harmonic ear (so that you can temper as necessary).

  11. It seems like I've actually overlooked relative pitch because most commenters here suggested I learn relative pitch instead. And your points about them being locked in makes sense, thanks!

  12. I'm saving this post for when I'm your level:sweat:

  13. I'm not gonna lie, your response to achieving a high level in 9 months took me by surprise, but I appreciate your honesty. I actually thought it'd be possible, if I practiced like 7 hours a day on average, taking into consideration that those 9 months I'd be 100% free from any studies (gap year), but oh well.

  14. Hey Tchaikovsky, was your death planned or not planned at all?

  15. I think it's a stink bug

  16. Here.. I'll back it up.. They are both shit.. they were junk when new and are junk now.

  17. OP said they want the "vintage feel" and vintage≠shit. You could say the information you have without being rude, yeah?

  18. They literally said film effect on the original post. Then argued when someone pointed out they were shit.

  19. My bad, they said "vintage" replying to someone else's comment so I reckon that's what they're looking for. And I don't think the problem is with the "they're shit" part, but the fact that they don't give the details or reasons for why they think they're shit.

  20. I watch Twoset while practicing, but I have never done that with Bubble tea.

  21. I have one on my youtube profile from start to finish! but unfortunately I don't have the rest :( Here's the

  22. No idea. But that's the smoothest skin I've ever witnessed.

  23. Full circle by Half Moon Run. Makes me feel things I cannot describe :') If you prefer something more loud, then listen to Zombie by The Cranberries, I guarantee you'll feel something awesome, whatever it is.

  24. Ridiculous thoughts by The cranberries

  25. Doesn't it depend on the book you're reading?

  26. Half Moon Run (band). The song is Full Circle. I have no interest in their other songs I'm not sure why, but that one song is one of my favorite songs ever! It gives me feelings I cannot describe :') I'd love to know what you think about it.

  27. Review No Need To Argue pls pls pls and let me know if you do

  28. Listen to anything by Aurora

  29. Honestly I'm not sure if it's ukulele or acoustic guitar (prob guitar) but it gives the ukulele vibes. Small hands by Keaton Henson.
