  1. I do lots of GI procedures and deal with a lot of anxious or embarrassed patients. I look them in the eyes, introduce myself, ask them if it’s their first procedure, ask what they like to do for fun or what they’re going to eat afterwords. This usually gets people talking and they seem pretty distracted by the conversations. I’ve had plenty of compliments on my bedside manor. As someone who has had a procedure, I enjoyed chatting a bit to keep my mind off of how nervous I was.

  2. Is there a job listing for this position? It should list off criteria they’re looking for in a candidate. I do know some lead tech positions may require 5 years of experience. It sounds like you should meet the criteria; however, if the person that’s been working there for 8 years has applied too; they may get it if management thinks highly of them. Just apply and try to nail the interview.

  3. It sounds like there are a few red flags with your bathroom remodel, especially with the excessive use of PVC glue and the questionable methods of sealing and supporting pipes. A rubber cap with a metal band can be a temporary solution, but for a long-term fix, use something more durable.

  4. I ended up having a real plumber come out and redo what this guy did and now the bathroom is finished.

  5. I still haven’t received “official diagnosis”, but my general care doctor told me “You very clearly have Hashimotos due to both antibodies being extremely high, but I’ll leave official diagnosis up to the endocrinologist.”

  6. When you killed the druids' leader without investigating her first and proving that she's a bad guy to the rest of them, they got mad, blamed and killed/pushed out all the tieflings, and finished the Rite of Thorns, sealing off the Grove. Basically, the situation was a powderkeg, and you set it off.

  7. WOW! lol. It’s crazy that I didn’t realize it was what I had done that caused this. I was truly confused that it was sealed off; I thought I did good by killing Kaugha.😅 However, I tried the dice rolls first and failed those miserably.

  8. I am a lesbian, and like y’all, have always been the only lesbian couple in the neighborhood, so I definitely understand your husband’s excitement to there being another gay couple in the neighborhood.

  9. It’s an old house; without pictures of your concerns, it’s hard to say if this is settling of an old house or foundation problems. Do you have plaster walls/ceilings or Sheetrock? Plaster has a bigger tendency to get cracks. That’s usually a result of the plaster separating from the lath or from settling.

  10. ADT is such a scam, as far as pricing. Their sales practices are also questionable and borderline harassment. Tell them to leave and not to come back. Believe me, they’ll try as hard as they can to get you to agree to them coming back later to talk about it again. They’ll say they can get you things for free or do you a favor, but it’s all sales gimmick. They wouldn’t be there if they aren’t going to benefit somehow.

  11. My dog gets a bald spot near his tail because his anal glands are full. Do you notice a foul smell?

  12. He’s 7 years old and only recently began getting allergies

  13. Scabies is usually secluded to the joints, hands, and feet. How did this start? A lot of people are also allergic to roaches, so it could all be related, but it also may not be.

  14. I will say that brushing this off as “My daughter needs attention” will end up allowing her to deal with whatever this is for a long time. Psychiatrists aren’t always right. My sister sees an apparition to this day at night, standing over her bed. It’s been happening since she was a baby. My mom brought her to a therapist and the therapist said that she is trying to seek attention and to stop letting my sister sleep with her when she wakes up screaming and crying, saying a man is standing over her. My sister is now 26 years old and it still happens. None of us ever believed her and told her it was a nightmare. One night, at 21 years old, I saw the apparition standing over her while she was laying in bed. We all believe her now. As for how to stop it? We still haven’t figured that out. My grandpa who is a preacher prayed for her regularly and it still hasn’t stopped.

  15. Mine just molted with me for the first time I haven’t held him in a few days bc he’s fragile yesterday however I tried to hold him and this is odd but he jumped off my hand and tried to run away from me, thankfully he webbed onto my shoe cabinet but I was scared I wasn’t gonna see him again. I saw him swinging and swooped him up.

  16. It sounds like he’s still recovering from the molt. They usually don’t find skin appealing for around 1-2 weeks post molt. All of mine avoid me holding them for a bit after molting and will immediately hop off, just like you said. lol.

  17. That’s awful. I have to admit, my dachshund was a very reactive barker and as soon as I noticed he was incessantly barking when we moved into an apartment, I worked very hard to correct it. The thing that ended up working was getting an AUTOMATIC vibrating bark collar. If it feels him bark, it send vibrations. 2 months of this and he no longer barked at every little sound and no longer needed to wear the collar. Maybe suggest this to your neighbor?

  18. Any update? Just found out Monday that my boxer has a mass in her small intestine; likely cancer. She had surgery to have it removed on Wednesday. They didn’t find metastasis, but we’re waiting on the pathology to come back to find out the next steps.

  19. Carprofen will make appetite worse on an empty stomach. I strongly suggest consulting with the vet on another option, like Gabapentin and steroids, instead. Also some appetite stimulants and anti-nausea med on the chance the Carprofen has caused GI issues.

  20. Yeah, sadly, we took her in and had many tests done to find out she has a mass in her small intestines.🥺 Surgery to have it removed is being done tomorrow and we’re just taking it one day at a time. We were told it’s very likely cancer.

  21. It sounds like impaction due to possibly overeating. You said she ate 4-5? Like 4-5 flies? That’s a lot of food for a subadult spider. Typically, we don’t feed on a schedule and we feed when their abdomens look hungry. Other than that, you say treated water? What is the water treated with? Some water treatments can be harmful to spiders. But I’m more so thinking the spider was overfed. I’m sorry for your loss and don’t beat yourself up.

  22. Okay thanks, yes 4-5 bottle flies. I'll research and see if I can find photos of what a hungry bum looks like vs one thats well fed. She had a pretty good appetite for sure! I just saw videos of people feeding their tiny spiders large pray so I wasn't sure how to gauge it. My water is treated with Seachem prime, a liquid used to remove chlorine for aquariums. I was told by other keepers that was a safe alternative but I just got in a distiller today JUST incase. I appreciate all these tips today. It's definitely going to help make me a better keeper :)
