  1. The Chinese are good at building rail roads! Ask the US!

  2. he produced the earliest known proof that it was a theorem. that's why we attach his name to it. it would just be guesses and speculation without a proof.

  3. This is wrong, as the earliest proof of this theorem is a matter of debate. See history section of this page:

  4. You need to ask a guard. If you talk to a guard, they will list all the shops in that city/town. Then you can click on what you want to find. It will then be highlighted on your minimap.

  5. All of the amazing answers here are from a material science perspective. Here is a slightly different kind of answer.

  6. I just watched umbrella academy and was very confused by this comment

  7. This Reddit is largely about interesting data or using charting techniques to explain an interesting point. This is neither of those things.

  8. You are right, but only because you (and most people) lack the necessary context for this data.

  9. That is literally the alternative that is being ordered with the ban: divest of China (become a US company) OR no more TikTok in the US.

  10. Ok, naive question: isn't this kinda like bullying? I mean, some other country telling the same to Facebook would sound crazy, but to do it to tiktok seems ok

  11. It's like the Rosetta Stone. People assume the British marched into Egypt and stole it. What happened was that when Napoleon was campaigning in Egypt, the French were building barricades out of stones, and they picked up a rock that was sitting amongst a pile of shit nobody cared about, and it turned out to be the Rosetta Stone. The French realised it was something important, and the British got it at the end of the war. Why should they return it if the Egyptians didn't even care about it when it was found?

  12. Well, it still belongs to the Egyptians. They can do with it as they please. It's their stone. Doesn't give anyone else the right to take it.

  13. European nations need a proportional response. My suggestion would be a soft blockade of the Russian marine traffic in the Baltic Sea. Just ramp up all bureaucracy you can muster. Make it hell to sail to Kaliningrad and St Petersburg.

  14. theres no hard solo content therfore you don't deverse/need the best gear

  15. Mage tower ffs!!! Wasnt that fun? Why shouldn't more content like that be added?

  16. Huh, when did I say it shouldnt be added, but on the topic of mage tower I believe that the challenge should be set a fix Ilvl so you cant cheese it 2 tier later (so gear is irrelevent)

  17. I kinda disagree. I understand what you say and why, but it is from the perspective of "every talent should provide a meaningful DPS or utility increase" .

  18. There is also Radioisotopic generation via the thermoelectric effect, such as those on board the voyager space crafts. This involves converting heat directly to electricity

  19. That's kind of the same like solar cells, which he already covered

  20. To be fair, that's exactly what the monsters book is in Witcher 3. It catalogues every enemy and describes in detail its strengths and weaknesses.

  21. Sometimes I hate posts like these that I have so much to say about I don't even know where to start!

  22. Itā€™s gone full diplomatic row. Audio recordings have been shared with Modi, detailing his governmentā€™s involvement. He has been sheepish since, but mostly because the US has made similar accusations.

  23. I am wondering what is there to make right? Does the US have to make something right for killing Osama bin Laden in Pakistan?

  24. "simplify" here means making it more uniform and intuitive. It does not mean having a shorter syntax.

  25. Big respect to the US for brainindraining much of the world and then letting the idiots back home brag about it. Amazing.

  26. Well, it's not like that. This actually proves, that given the opportunity, people from any country or ethnicity can be successful.

  27. That's the thing about being a neutral country: we don't have any official allies, which makes us an easy target. Thus, we need to have a strong army to be able to defend ourselves.

  28. Why does India get way more hate about buying Russian oil than Sweden gets for selling Pakistan weapons?

  29. India-Pakistan conflicts are generally seen by people in the West as a regional pissing contest in a far away place that has little to do with them and between people they really can't relate to well and whose beef they don't really understand. It's hard for them to get super worked up about it. On top of that, the major India-Pakistan wars were quite a bit shorter in duration and much smaller in body count and the last really hot war was back in 1971 (and lasted only 2 weeks). More recent India-Pakistan conflicts have been quite small scale in nature meaning they don't talked about that much outside of the region.

  30. Sorry but your comment is very misinformed. The indo pak conflict is not just 3 small wars. It is a conflict that started around end of WW2 and persists to this day, analog to the cold war. This cold war erupted 3 times in "hot" wars is what you are mentioning.

  31. As the other comment mentioned, the more long-term solution is to use lsp with vim or neovim.

  32. As an American, India is going to rise no matter what. We can either lay the groundwork for them to be an ally, or we can face an additional threat. While India is going to be on Indiaā€™s side no matter what, there are not alone in this. The EU is on the EUā€™s side, yet they are our firm allies. India doesnā€™t really have any strategic aims that are in direct conflict with us. Best thing we can do is apologize for our previous support of Pakistan and work with India as equals, hoping that our common ideology and common enemy in China can work as the bedrock to a new alliance, the same way common ideology and common enemy did in Europe.

  33. Damn, I never thought I could agree wholeheartedly with someone like this!
