There is a reasonable argument he could be worth the #3 pick and more by himself. But look, I get it, they are posturing because they own #3 and we don't. But they are definitely inflating the actual value of that pick.
The reality is, Jefferson’s trade value is greatly reduced because of the need to pay him $35M/year going forward. We got the most valuable years out of him on his rookie contract, and now the bill is coming due.

I know you have to take strength of schedule with a grain of salt, but I thought teams that made the playoffs normally get scheduled for "tougher" schedules. Shouldn't the Packers and Lions have a tougher schedule than us hypothetically speaking?

Yes and no. They will play last year’s tougher teams, but they also get to play us twice, and Vegas thinks we will be a weak team.
