  1. I didn't know I was pregnant for about 2 and half months, while not even questioning why I was craving subs almost every day. I never toasted those subs I was eating almost daily. Imagine the absolute fear my ob saw in my eyes when she told me to avoid lunch meat and bagged salads. Fast forward to now, I have a very healthy 3 year old!

  2. I hate men? News to me. I would be more than happy to change my mind if I have met a man who can teach me something about empathy. However, I have not. I will not apologize for my experiences or lack thereof. No one should have to do that.

  3. Should we argue semantics? If a man dates multiple women who do actually use him for his money, it doesn't make him toxic or "hate women" for feeling like every woman he meets just wants his money. He would be toxic if he was not open to the idea that not all women are that way. My comment is based solely on my experiences, in hopes OP would feel seen and comforted. I'm not sure why my experience offends you so much. Being attacked for sharing my experience is some toxic energy. Maybe you should figure out how to empower women who have different experiences than yourself.

  4. Funny, I swear I read this article like 10 years ago. Just replace gen z with millennials. Gonna take the wildest guess and say gen x probably expirenced this too.

  5. If I understand correctly, the overturning of Roe included some rollback on HIPAA laws as well. The link below explains. I apologize in advance, there may be better articles out there, but it's the early morning here, and I have not had my coffee yet.

  6. HIPPA applies here. They can demand whatever they want, but this violates federal and constitutional law and hospitals can't just hand over information without permission from patients. Such assholes.

  7. Knowing this, what’s the play to have financial success if you want to leave terrible retail? What fields could you get into easily that will give you comfort? I’m been struggling with this

  8. I went from customer service/retail to a major health insurance provider doing prior authorizations for medical procedures. This field seems to have relatively low applicants. Even though it's a call center, those that are calling are from medical offices. Since they are at work as well, they maintain a level of professionalism. Coming from customer service/retail, it was refreshing not to get yelled at every call. No experience or education in the medical field is required, as they primarily focus on customer service.

  9. Imagine walking into a Christian bookstore, asking the clerk to point you in the direction of the Bibles, and they say, "we don't carry those."

  10. I'll bet it's a HIPPA violation or other privacy violation. Our admin used to send out mass emails with "coverage" announcements, but now it only goes to the people covering. BCCd.

  11. I used to wear make up everyday before the pandemic. My 1st and only child was born 4 mos before the pandemic happened. I haven't been back to an office setting since I was pregnant with him (was allowed to start wfh during pregnancy), so honestly all my make up is expired and I'm still just too exhausted from the last few years to care. I do my hair, wear perfume and sometimes jewelry. I still don't leave the house that often, so I can't justify spending all that money on make up that will probably just expire before I use it all. Enjoy that make up free life! Think of all the money you're saving!

  12. The misogyny is coming from inside the house.

  13. There's a show on Hulu/Fx about her called Mrs. America. 10/10 recommend. Its so important to know the previous struggle we've had with pro-lifers. I highly encourage additional research during or after watching the show.

  14. Me and my husband got Covid twice. Once in 2020 and once again this year. In 2020 our only child was 6 months old. My husband started showing symptoms first, I took the initiative and sent the baby with grandma. The baby was fine and didn't get it that time. My husband and I continued to live together. I started showing symptoms 3 days after him. There weren't any variants yet (I call this OG Covid) and it was pretty rough. We got through it with the help of Dayquil. Don't take Nyquil and make sure you're eating even when you don't feel like it. You have to keep your energy up.

  15. Right? Have kids? They hate on you. Don't have kids, they hate on you. Have kids alone, hate. Have kids and stay home, hate. Have kids and don't stay home, hate. Breastfeed, hate, bottle feed, hate. It never ends.

  16. What really gets me is the people that don't want kids will judge your parenting. Like first of all stay in your lane.

  17. Nope, sorry. You can choose to have or not choose children, yet still be on top of what's legal and moral for childminding.

  18. Could you share that textbook with me? I didn't know there was an actual manual. I've been missing out this whole time. /s

  19. I felt the same way. I feel like Cole's comment about Colleen being 10/10 and Zanab being a 9/10 really set the tone for their entire relationship. They really should have talked about it in the reunion. If I was being compared to another woman by a man I was supposed to marry, I won't be able to focus on much else. Every comment from him would like an attack at some level. To me, it made sense how Zanab took Cole's comment about eating the cuties. It's so sad that women are so misunderstood, even by other women, that no one can fathom how 1 comment could be so damaging and provoke an unwelcomed response.

  20. I use intuition razors and no longer have the burning bumps (as I like to call them). Its become much fast for me to shave in the shower with these too. Definitely shave that area last, that way the razor can dull a bit, in a hot shower. If you're unfamiliar with the product, the shaving cream is already around the razors. I also have not had any razor cuts anywhere on my body since switching these razors. I've been using them for 10+ years.

  21. You dont want your privilege to get in the way?? I would love to hear a man say this! It would never happen. Absolutely throw in the trash, unless you're comfortable with him using them as workshop/garage rags. You're husband needs to learn that some things are worth sacrificing for. That absolutely does not mean you're spoiled. I grew up very poor as well, but under no circumstances were we encouraged or made to wear 2nd hand underwear. I personally would be insulted if my husband called me spoiled over an issue like this.

  22. I completely agree with you. I'm '86, but I have a younger sibling who is '94. The outlook difference on life is night and day. However I always attributed it to age. Ignorance is bliss and as you age, you inevitably loose ignorance to concepts that are masked by a level of innocence.

  23. Talking about anything regarding my body. Boobs, periods, shaving, etc. That should all be spoken about in private and only with other women.

  24. I (36f) pretty much just wear anything from target and dabble in shein. I also have an apron belly from my pregnancy and I notice target jeans and shorts seem to fit well. My son is about 2 and I'm just now starting to feel somewhat like my old self. I live in a hot state, so my daily is a cute t-shirt (by cute, I mean whatever doesnt hug my belly), jeans or jean shorts and flip flops. I curl my hair, do some minimal make up and accessorize so I don't feel boring.

  25. I had this moment with the ba ba black sheep song. I didn't realize what it was referencing (I also hadn't listened to it since I was 5), now I won't let my son watch it. With the Johnny song though, I try to make it a teachable moment and I make a big deal about how he gets caught in the end. Hopefully that sticks.
