  1. You don't fight for the politicians, you fight because you think that your society, your community and the lives of your family/relatives are worth defending.

  2. Fighting for family/relatives makes sense but not for society, community. If I move to some other safer parts of the world I can always make or join another community or society. And this is a fight against the second biggest and technically advanced military of the world. No point fighting, better to find a way for your family to leave the country.

  3. I would not want to be part of a society or community which thinks I should die in war. Need me in what? There are thousands other ways to contribute to your society and I love that my society appreciates and accepts that. I would rather be a friend with a commoner than a Taliban.

  4. I just bought mine from Raymor and Flanigan. The midtown showroom has lots of couches, and they have outlets section to in the basement which is a must checkout. Way better and way cheaper than average IKEA couches. Also offers white glove delivery within 2 days which is a must for me for couches.

  5. I do not care at all. I actually like the Visit Rwana logo in our shirt because it feels a little different having a sponsor from actual Africa. If someone wants to be moral police then we cannot have any sponsor. There is no company in the world which can operate 100% morally. And the moral compass differs from culture to culture, individual to individual.

  6. Most definitely no one is getting rid of the Emirati sponsors. London is THE dirty money capital of the world. Should we relocate the Arsenal stadium too?!

  7. I do not care much about it. I actually like the Visit Rwana logo in our shirt because it feels a little different having a sponsor from actual Africa. If someone wants to be moral police then we cannot have any sponsor. There is no company in the world which can operate 100% morally. And the moral compass differs from culture to culture, individual to individual.

  8. Columnia has 100x more free speech rights than all universities in all the muslim majority countries combined.

  9. 😂😂 😂😂 you know, everyone knows they gave the state of Palestine away to the Jews.

  10. There was never anything remotely close to a state of the Palestine. The British ruled and governed that land, not Palestinians. Just like the British divided majority of South Asia into India and Pakistan. There was nothing called Pakistan before 1947 in the history ever.

  11. When I voted for Biden I was beyond excited. I'm at the point where I'm debating on voting for Trump. Who would make things 10 x worse. But would probably bring about that general strike we so desperately need.

  12. Why should Israel Palestine issue impact your vote for Biden or Trump, I am just curious to know? The economy is doing pretty well, unemployment is not bad. There are always wars and civil wars going on around the world, did those impact your decisions in the past?

  13. May be it is, I do not know. I am comparatively new to this country so I am trying to understand Americans’ POVs. Many people in muslim countries are chanting for death of not only Israel but all jews and westerners and infidels, which is not surprising and they hardcore believe in what they say. But I am curious to know why many Americans are also thinking the kind of same way and chanting ‘death to america and hating the their own country.

  14. And the U.S. and the world, really. Air BnB has been a slow growing cancer that has only gotten more metastatic / worse with age.

  15. Can you explain why do you think so? In many cities AirBnB is heavily regulated, including NYC. Not every city needs a strict regulation for AirBnB. It offers a lot of benefits as well to the cities and local businesses.

  16. That needs to be the standard for all cities in America.

  17. Definitely not for all cities. US only has a few touristy cities. NYC did the same. It doesn’t make sense for middle of nowhere Kansas City to do it.

  18. We taken steps forward from last season, but we've taken steps back as well. Xhaka leaving with no clear replacement and the fall off of partey, Jesus, zinchenko and martinelli has meant the squad took three steps forward but three steps back as well. It's sort of balanced out and left us in the same situation as last season.

  19. I find it hard to agree with this unless we completely collapse now. We could very well lose the title by less than a few points which would hurt but it would definitely be an improvement on last season where we weren’t a factor going into the final few games.

  20. The issue has progressive development one more than 2-3 years doesn’t work in football. You have to seal the deal whenever you get the chance. Look at Napoli, or this year’s Leverkusen. Last year we dropped the league because we could not handle the pressure. Same thing is probably gonna happen again this year. It happens third time and it is the time some of our core players start to leave for bigger teams. Looks like a similar cycle to what happened late 2000s

  21. The issue has progressive development one more than 2-3 years doesn’t work in modern football.

  22. The missiles that struck Iran probably had “made in the USA” written on them

  23. That does not make it direct US involvement. Almost every country in the world uses some form of American weapons and technologies in their wars.

  24. US has to be a part of every major international political events, it is the most influential country in the world. But it doesn’t have to be directly involved in this one.

  25. Why would anyone want to leave behind their friends, family, their community? It also prices out locals and then they have to move.

  26. My salary is little over 100k and I am well satisfied in a VHCOL US city. I don’t know what many expect when they say about American dream. If your dream is to buy a single family house in NYC or Boston downtown then it is not a middle class finance problem, it is your expectation problem.

  27. Hey, it seems like Lemonade insurance might cover your bases, but it's always best to double-check with your landlord or property management to make sure you're meeting all the requirements. Sometimes they can be pretty specific about the coverage they want to see. Better safe than sorry, right? Check

  28. isak, gyokeres, boniface, osimhen, toney(although reports say that we arent in for him anymore), solanke, watkins

  29. We had the same issue last season. We've had opportunities to resolve this or at least attempt to(No, Havertz was never the resolution)

  30. Havertz was not bought as an out and out striker. He is still a very good buy. But we need to replace Jesus. Injuries + low scoring = not fit for PL.

  31. City taking off KDB and Akanji to bring on Kovacic and Stones. We have nowhere near that level of depth. But there's a lot to build on, and our core will grow from this experience.

  32. Some of our core players will start leaving soon if we do not create the chance of winning anything big.

  33. I think the Bayern players are just as good as ours (if not a shade better) and that’s it. Just an even tie where small moments happened to go in their way a bit more often than ours, and maybe they happened to turn up a bit more than us. Football is a game full of randomness.

  34. Bayern were the favorites before the match even began. They controlled the whole game, were the better team, we did not create a single even a half chance. We couldn’t even create any pressure after we conceded the goal. It is not randomness. It was a deserved loss, we are just not a big team yet.

  35. I love the team but we still have not proven anything. Getting a win against Bayern today will be a big statement but losing to them will show that we still have a very long way to go to become a big club.

  36. Reminder that Israel, UK, and France stoked ethnic tensions and provided weapons used in the genocide.

  37. So what? By that logic you should not give any attention or money to English football as the British colonized a large part of the world, killed many, and looted billions. Yet we are here.

  38. Everywhere in Manhattan is extremely safe I feel. And I am generally an over-thinker and anxious person when it comes to safety.

  39. Very informative! Never knew of Metropolitan Hill. Even Google maps does not show it.

  40. Not Charlotte! It is still the same dead ass as it was pre-covid.

  41. What type of apartments are you looking for? If you prefer to be in a high-rise luxury buildings or from a big management company then there is almost no chance of getting scammed because you be dealing directly with the management companies.

  42. Absolutely no idea about Brooklyn. Avalon, TFC, Rose Associates, Glenwood, Solil, Glenwood, Equity, Marquis - are some big ones in Manhattan. Some of them should have some buildings in Brooklyn.

  43. That Travis Scott fan is gonna be pissed when he sees this.

  44. Lol. Thats not how it works honey. I have been huge of Raye since the beginning of her commercial career, while Travis is one of my favorite US rappers.

  45. Oh ok! There is one specific fan. I took in personally haha.

  46. There’s no way manu gonna stop Liverpool now. I would rather want another humiliation for manu.

  47. Mixed Asian here (south + east) who prefers to date outside my races. I am relatively new to the city so my observations are pretty skewed. I am surprised that I see less interracial couples here in manhattan than I have seen in other US cities I have lived, like Chicago, Seattle, or even Charlotte. May be it is different in Brooklyn and Queens, I have yet to explore those boroughs.

  48. Not me thinking my whole building was gonna collapse 🥲

  49. Goodness! Was it that bad? I am just in the process of moving into a high rise in UES and already scared from the earthquake news.

  50. I live in a highrise on a fairly high floor (25+) in the UES.
