Trust me u need to have strong meaning and a strong link between ur artworks ESPECIALLY for the exhibition. I lost marks in my exhibition because there wasn’t much of a connection between each artwork as I focused more on how the individual pieces looked and the meaning behind each piece rather then the link between all the artworks
if i just applied for my caq what are the chances of me getting my study permit in time for the fall semester (hella stressed out international student)
I hate how everyone is saying it’s not hard just because it’s not stem heavy…global politics at HL was actually hell and I can imagine the same for economics. And Math AI at HL? IB on its own is hard, just because someone isn’t taking bio/chem/physics/maths AA at HL doesn’t discredit the toughness of their workload
I do physics eco, math aahl and gp, trust me gp is the easiest, easiest subject there is. Did I stress on it’s ease. Also eco hl is piss if Uk how to write answers. Math Phy is the issue
Hey I know this post is quite old but I also had an IE phase (I’m also planning to be a lawyer). Although IE has a really nice student life, and Madrid is considered to be a great city to many, the university itself is not WOW - it’s rank for law is not definitive and lies between 251-300 globally while Bristol is 59 (8th in the UK for law), and Manchester is 95 (13th in the UK for law). It’s not bad by any means, and it’s employability ranking is quite high - but they sort of accept anyone who’s willing to pay. And because it’s basically filled with rich international students (I live in Dubai so believe me, I know) I think you’ll be fine in the aspect of getting internships/securing a job however I’m not actually too sure how it works or how practicing law/getting a job as a lawyer would be like after IE since you will be living in Spain after all. Where do you want to work after you graduate? Are you looking to do an LLM? I know that IE allows you to do a double law degree with KCL so I’d look into that if you want to work in the UK. I’ve had offers from Bristol, Manchester, IE and a few London unis for law so I absolutely get what you mean - however it sort of depends on your career goals after.
the only way you’re getting a 2% (4 marks) more is from your IA. the papers are marked against a markscheme, there’s basically no room for error. your IA however is subjective to different examiners. if you think your IA can get you 4 more marks, and if the cost of the remark isn’t a huge financial issue, then go for it. i know someone who got 4 marks more after the remark.
Idk what I really wanna study in the future cuz I kinda have no ambitions 💀, but for tips, PLEASE TELL ME HOW YOU DID YOUR ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITY, LIKE WHAT DO I NEED TO KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR THE MOST (I know mine is gonna be a flop)
Don't lose hope, immediately email or call ur university and discuss ur results with them, some unis dont really give a shit if u go a little under the requirements and will just turn a blind eye to it. What country is uni in?
It’s honestly very unlikely unless you’re super close, also apparently remarks that happen right after the results are less likely to be successful? I’m not sure
What was ur major so I can avoid it lol
Lol!
Fancy seeing u here
You can find them on
Where
I know damn well my school got flagged after m23 results because people who were predicted 40+ got 30-33
I agree that a 4 as your PG or the grade you're applying with will significantly hamper your chances. Didn't OP say they have a 6 now?
It’s not their predicted tho? It was a semester 1 grade. Her end of dp1 grade is a 6. PG haven’t even come out yet for M24

Don’t get me wrong technique is Still important but this is based on my experience
I did my EE on Barbie (not the movie) and I got an A feel free to pm!
That I should’ve stayed far far away and listened to all the warnings from people who did it
7% mark increase is CRAZY
REALLY?!?!
Yes everyone who takes it is not the best at science therefore lower boundaries
My school grade boundaries are a 85% for a 7, its wild
Same at my school it was crazy

You fucked up IB; its the otherway round.
You’re so annoying man give it a rest

Maybe for you, also you haven’t even started DP2 yet
Depends on the course. KCls med and CS courses are more competitive than some of the other unis there but their other courses are less competitive.
For law as well

Yeah I need it for my diploma and tbh I kinda forgot what my theme was, but something around love in humans
That’s a really good theme good luck you’ve got this! If you haven’t already go on clastify and look at examples of level 7 art coursework
