Have any 2k? I could use one to replace a sensor (a thermistor) that changes resistance based on heat, I think. Thinking about throwing a resistor on it and calling it a day

YES, but I couldn't afford them. A local shop had 2 Sabian Artisan rides. One had more of the ping sound, and the other had some wash and sizzle to it. Both had great bells. Never heard any other cymbals I liked more.
How long have you had yours? I got mine with a used Gretsch Catalina Elite about 15 years ago, 14 at least. I don't think anything on the kit was abused before I got it but I've put the kit through a lot of gigs in that time. The hardware on the drums is suffering the most. And the wrap on the bass drum is starting to separate, but the seam is on the bottom so no biggie
If you can afford to spend the money go for it. I've been playing for 20 years. I haven't considered any new gear in over decade but if I were forced to I'd be on fb marketplace for sure
Honestly nothing from the track will transfer, if anything its more to breakdown on that first day. I have my first track day of the season in a couple of weeks, we'll see how much transfers that way, but a lot should. I feel like I have a way better sense of weight balance and how to use that momentum better. I was too focused on looking for feedback in my hands, and there really isn't any on a loose surface.
I'm interested in an update after your track day! You hear from motorcycle guys that dirt experience pays dividends when there's loss of traction on street/track
A freind of mine was the original drummer. He got another opportunity and recommended me to replace him. I still had to submit a video audition and be considered along with some other cats, but I got the gig.

On mine, those little stamped dimples have begun to pop off. To be fair, there are no cracks. Those dimples just came off cleanly.
