If you go to your Squad Hub and click a player one of the options there will be training (can't remember the exact name). If you go there you can set training plans like Target Player etc, change positions and see at the top how long it takes.

I do it that way. I have a excel sheet and write down the 7 points for each of their arcs, one per column.

No, the first one this year was a Monaco and Lyon player for example
If you just want a simple one seasons mode it's weirdly hidden, I haven't looked in the new game but it's usually in the tournament mode

Downward headers are the same as low shots, so if you get under 40% power (I think) it will be a downward header.

That's probably a good idea, that way you get another deck you can try out or you could dust those cards to further improve your paladin deck.
I mean the goal net is a solid netting like in fifa 12, how do you do that
You can do it from game settings in the main menu, can't remember exactly how but I do believe the option is called "Net Tension" or something similar

I think Koeman was just fine as a CB.
Yeah, I was a bit harsh on him but it could just have been that my style of defending did not suit him as he is not very quick.
