I mean its mostly that. Its something that makes no sense to include and in the end did not affect the outcome in the slightest, making it's entire existence not only stupid but also objectively pointless. And I think the whole "it ended up doing jack shit" part is what angers me the most tbh. If you're gonna the damn thing at least make it do more than give the bastard a split second aneurysm that you could completely miss if you so much as blink. It served no purpose, made no sense, and in the end shouldn't even be in the movie.
That some dumbasses poring cheap licor on a random computer will be able to even inconvenience the 400ft tall mega robot who was previously established to have completely rouge and separate from all previous systems because it was currently possessed by a Ghidorah head, genuinely so fucking stupid.
They have a full on fight scene against Dio and an entire episode prior dedicated to making fun of how over-the top Yu-gi-oh can get with its card tomfoolery, its peak fiction
If it wasn't him we would've had to deal with more of that jackass Scotsman guard dude and IM DEAD SURE it would've lowered my score for the move by at least 1 point. How much do we wanna bet would've gotten some bullshit ass plot of him discovering the iwi with the rest of the group, they do something that pisses his "AHm in cHARge" ass off and they have a little side plot where they cut away from the final battle and have him and Trapper fight inside a ship because he wants to reveal the Iwi to the world because something something greedy asshole. At least I found Bernie wasn't atrocious in this one or anything, hell if you tweak one or two things about the plot in this movie and GVK you can make him a completely new arrival to this one and be none the worse for wear
