That looks like a lot of highway dividing up your city, why have it split in 2 and cross the city in a grid? Why not just run it centrally or on the outskirt with fewer exits and entrances?

Definitely lighten up the highways and more roads over highway, also the roundabout that has like 25 connections in the top right looks like a traffic disaster waiting to happen. You can possibly get rid of the highways to the left and lessen the connections on that round about

I would reconnect the bridge near the fork of the river to a a road as it may create traffic at where it is currently.

I would definitely recommend more highway on and off ramps to major roads, it looks like theres only 2 intersections and even one can definitely help.
