WindSwords

  1. Welcome on board!! You're in for a hell of a ride!!

  2. So far it's the absolute depth of the characters. Like in Star Trek it's so basic, Klingons warriors and no real emotions, Ferengi merchants with no real emotion, but when I saw G’Kar break down in tears because nobody could help him save his people from the Centauri I was blown away. These feel like real people

  3. Amen. G'Kar is a beloved character in this community.

  4. The ICC did not issue a verdict on the 1994 bombings, it has no jurisdiction over these events which happened way before its creation.

  5. What evidence is there against the "entire top echelon of Israeli military"?

  6. Ukraine has voluntarily accepted the jurisdiction of the Court on 2 separate occasions, granting the ICC with the possibility to investigate cases regarding events since 2014.

  7. Looks like one of those trucks from Death Race.

  8. They won't make their own; the Swiss get mad if you actually use their weapons; Russia seems like a poor source of weapons. Do you have any other suggestions?

  9. Are you implying that France, Germany, Italy or the UK do not have their own defense industries? And that's not counting Sweden or Poland.

  10. A car in Paris is a bad idea. It will be a nightmare to drive around and park.

  11. It was not Iran's government that sieged the embassy. It was basically a mob.

  12. In its 1980 decision on the case, the ICJ concluded that the Iranian had acquiesced to the acts committed by the crowd, and even endorsed them, and accordingly these acts became acts of the Iranian State.

  13. Well... it is. The controlling convention only protects embassies from the hosts. There's nothing special about embassies qua embassies for third parties. They're just normal, presumptively civilian buildings and can lose those protections like all the others.

  14. Regardless of how many times this is posted here, it still is incorrect and contrary to the letter and spirit of the VCDR/VCCR as well as the practice of Member States for decades.

  16. This subreddit is about Public International Law. Public International Law doesn't mean any legal situation that occurs internationally. Public International Law is its own legal system focused on the law between States.

  17. UNRWA local employee vetting is done by Israel. A list of all employees is sent to Israel, which can veto any hire or dismiss any other.

  18. Not really. The UN does send the list of its personnel to Israel, just like it does to Host States of field missions and large offices, for its information, but there is no veto process for any Host States. If a Host State has a legitimate issue with a name, it can raise it with the UN but there is no approval required or veto possible prior to an employment by the UN.

  20. This is a fascinating read. Thanks for the work and for posting it here.

  21. That's extremely interesting Thanks for researching and sharing that.

  22. I think France is supposed to be Ratatouille?

  23. I agree but looks like they don't have that vegetables in the Ratatou6aee supposed to be cooked...

  24. To answer your question, Scorpene is purely an export product. French subs are all nuclear powered these days.

  25. It's great, and yeah definitely look at all the DLC. I knew $2.49 was going to be more enticing, but to get the game plus ALL the DLC for less than $8 is a steal.

  26. Crimson Court seem to have very mixed reviews. It is worth it? I barely have 57 hours in DD1 and have the Color of Madness but not CC yet.

  27. As someone that has played and beaten the Crimson Court DLC, it's definitely very hard, and it's not all that rewarding. At the same time, I am glad that I've got it, and I enjoy the expansion to the game.

  28. Thanks a lot for the detailed review. Much appreciated.

  29. I am interested in an analysis of whether the UN can remove Russia from the USSR seat, since there was never a vote to recognize Russia as the successor as there was with China. I think that would be a great result of any case.

  30. Calvinball90 addressed the succession very well. Things were done pursuant to international law and to UN rules. The situation of PRC and Taiwan was completely different and cannot be used as a model for USSR and Russia.

  31. C'est pour me râper les raisins que vous m'avez fait venir ?

  32. If you like Johnnie To, you will love Jean-Pierre Melville who, according to To himself, had a tremendous influence on his cinema.

  33. Not a problem. There can never be too many Melville recommendations in this sub.
